Oh boy, way to make me feel old...like my six year old who talks about the days before mobile phones as the "olden times"...I don't really know Benny Hill apart from the reference to the music and people being chased
Benny Hill basically made an art form of being a dirty old man. Each Benny Hill show finished with him undressing pretty girls to their undies and then being chased by them to the catchy tune of Boots Randolph's "Yakety Sax. Some saw this as sexist, in fact Ben Elton went so far as to say that it promoted violence against woment, but "defenders of Hill have said the show used traditional comic stereotypes to reflect universal human truths in a way that was not malicious and fundamentally harmless. Hill said it was the women who chased Hill in anger for undressing them, all of which was done accidentally by some ridiculous means." Yeah, riiiight....
So....not my cup of tea then...
