AG, I'm not going to name any names when I'm not 100% sure what I heard is true. It may well be, it may not be.
If you want to spread gossip on here and name names, be my guest.
All I said was that there may be some selection "surprises" out at Milawa this weekend and we could be surprised by a few of their OUTS.
In recent years there has been a drift of people from the smaller villages to Melbourne and the larger regional cities for employment, kids education etc. I suspect you will find many Swanpool players do not live in Swanpool. If their best chance of survival is to amalgamate with nearby Tatong then this should be their priority. Unfortunately clubs can fold rather quickly if player numbers are down. Remember Great Western, Thornton-Eildon and Wunghnu were playing in August last year and are now in recess - unlikely to ever play again. I bet they wished they had tried to amalgamate with a nearby club when they had the chance.

Can the O&K do their own thing and create a 4ths? Or are they still dictated by VCFL and Wang Junior League? Aren't Rutherglen, Chiltern and Beechworth doing ok with 3rds numbers still and ahead with money income due to having a 4ths? If O&K clubs can keep their auskick and junior kids from going into Benalla and Wangaratta junior leagues by having a 4ths, wouldn't they all be better off?
I reckon spoon smith will be the 1 with 20 goals to his name!!! Brush will get at least 10.
