in a word KIA we're f$%^&d.....as soon as one comes back we seem to lose another...

It might be tough for a few clubs with no more byes coming up -straight week in/week out to the GF in Sept. Those near the top will be hoping for that week off come finals time. Especially if they end up trying to nurse players through games rather than giving them time off to recover properly.

It'll come down to pre-season preparation, 1st half-season work ethics of players (& sound practices to player welfare by the coach) and a whole huge bag of luck!!

How are clubs doing with injurys at the moment??
Greta are travelling a lot better than last season and are starting to get some cattle back on the park.

Brent Nichols has been in the best players the last two weeks on his comeback from a knee injury.

Brendan Van Schaik has played the last two reserves games and might need a couple more to blow out the cobwebs.

Two handy players coming into finals, but this week will be a big test and show the boys where they are at.

Greta has been spanked by Milawa in the last few outings, so it will really show where the boys are at.

Ben Craven was a handy inclusion last week and with him and Brad Bell kicking bags of 9 and 13 in the last two weeks, it gives a couple of good targets to aim for. Chris O'Connor, Dan McLaughlin and Jack Humphries all bob up with their 1 or 2, so the area in which we struggled last season looks to be a bit brighter. Throw Brent Nichols into the midfield or as a forward pocket and he should kick a few as well.

Scott Miller has also been a very handy inclusion down back and it will be interesting to see how Zac Cleeland goes on one of the Demons bigger forwards. He has really stepped up in the last two years.

Milawa are a class side and hopefully it will be a cracker of a game.

I can't see milawa being beaten again unless 6 or 8 of there players do season ending injurys

Well it has to be said - Moyhu is genuine!

Might have discovered the missing piece to the premiership puzzle...

If only they had a talented small forward to support 12 Goals Thomson (who kicked 6 today) they might be unbeatable!

Heard there may have been the 11th hour signing of a pretty hand ruckman Nonch....

Is that piece missing?? or is it found?? or are they still looking?? :D

it has to be said where to from here for Swanshit??

I know I've said it before but these clubs have to be given time....If you remember it took us 4 years to get off the bottom of the ladder ( we finished ninth that year ahead of Greta on % I think ). We were copping the same sort of beltings as they are...week in,week out.

Provided they have people off field willing to keep working, they'll get there eventually.

Slim I know everytime this is mentioned you refer Back to when you first entered the o n k. Even know you were getting flogged you had a Gun 3rds side which won the flag and had a good group of players who stuck by the club and are still there now and most of them are handy players, you had the worst coach going for the players you had and if I recall most of the players you had were under the age of 18 so to me that says the senior side will have a good future with the right coach.. Anyways swanshit have no thirds which means no players for the future they can't recruit any which means there is going to be more forfeits and both sides have been getting r*ped every week there's only so much the members will do to help out.I can't see them being round for much next year..
