Heard a rumour a rival car dealer has made a play for two well known Uni football identities on behalf of another club in the old scholars to secure their football and work services for 2011.

The only criteria is they must not sell to many cars if it interfers with their facebook time...lol:thumbsu:
haha im guessing we are talking about beams @ gilmore lol.

Can you imagine the goal celebrations from Reeves yesterday?
**** that bloke rates himself.

i would rate myself too if i kicked 13!

I would hope he didnt carry on too much in a 30 goal win over Channel, maybe the celebrations would be better saved for a final or a good win against a top 4 side. No doubting that he can play tho!!

yesterday was talking to a parent who took his kids to the Hutchins V Richmond said his kids are now to scared to go to the football after he and his kids were abused by certain Richmond supporters when walking up the race at Queenborough. As a supporter of old scholars football and a father who takes his young boy to the football i hope we can stamp this out, we need our kids going to games-not being abused?

Do you think it is fair to assume that Channels window of opportunity to win a senior game has closed?
256-25 YUCK.

Did see 2nd half of Saints v Uni a couple of weeks ago and in defence of Channel, Uni did lok sharp. So maybe Saturday they just bumped into a hot side. From memory they were only a couple of goals down against the Saints last week at 3qtr time so they couldn't have gone backwards that much in a week. Could they ?? Hearing all sorts of reports from Hutchins Richmond Saturday. Fights, reports, crowd involvment, officials etc etc. Wish I was there. Can anyone shed any light on this, how much is true?

This week will be interesting. Can Richmond bounce back against the Saints or have they just lost the plot completely? DOSA Hutchins should be a pretty good game too I would think.

Also interesting to see Devine play for North ressies on the weekend despite reports on here he would be in a Uni jumper. Wonder what happened there, car business not so good perhaps?

I spoke to one of the umpires from Richmond vs Hutchins, He said the game was pretty loose. It seems to be a pattern when Richmond plays.
I didn't hear of any crowd involvement. Maybe one of the fifty or so Golden Retrievers in the crowd wandered on to Queenborough.

Saints are struggling with Injuries at the minute, with about 15 of the best 44 players out. Really good win on the weekend considering about a third of the team are usually in the early game, with no Beck, Batchelor, Collis,N. Davey, D.Davey, L.Post, Hastie, Nicholas, Hartnett, Ackerly, J. Viney etc. etc. Should get a few back this week. Not too many wanting to miss playing against Richmond.

DOSA vs Hutchins should be good contest. DOSA should be rested and ready to go. It seems they may need or their guns to fire to beat Hutchins. I noticed that Michael Walsh played 2s for Hutchins on the weekend. Very hand ruckman when He's up and about.

I see that Daniel Gray played two's for the saints on the weekend, is he back for good?
out of those players, Post & Collis are the only real loss, and i hear Collis has a stress fracture in the foot so i doubt he will be back!
All teams seem to be struggling with injuries besides Hutchins and Dosa by the sounds of it.
What happened to Channel on the weekend? i was at the Channel vs St Virgil's game only a week early and they were not far off the pace.
Looking at there best players Lamprill & Lorkin played as well, does anyone know if they had more out?
Maybe Uni is starting to produce all the goods money can buy, will be an interesting contest when they next play Hutchins, Hutchins were good on the weekend, showed Richmond a thing or two! Richmond looked slow!.

Not sure what Daxy is up to, pretty handy on the weekend. Pretty sure that Zach Batchelor would get a game in most old scholar teams, as would Daniel Nicholas and Mark Beck.

The Gospel...Post and Collis the only real losses for St Virgils!...give us a spell! Batchelor and Beck would be the Full Back and Centre Half Back in an Old Scholars Association Team.

Wasn't at the game - actually haven't been to that many this year, but from what I hear of the key players - Big Christopher Joyce has been hamstrung - after all they are massive hamstrings. Jared Mason out for the season with broken ankle, Antonin Stonjek moved back up North after losing his job down here, plus 15 others out injured..........so they have had a wretched run of bad luck this year after starting so promisingly.

Went and watched the Hutchins Richmond game on the weekend and got chatting to a couple of fellas from both sides... Richmond had a few out obviously but the suprising thing was Hutchins had 4-5 missing from their senior side as well i think every team struggles with injuries and illness this time of year.. I dont watch much OSFA but i was impressed with the skills from both sides an interesting game right down to the last siren with the biff...

will be interesting to see how richmond go this week.. they need a couple of wins..

Very sad, but all too common. At all levels of footy. I'm not comfortable in taking my kids to the footy. I get sick of the swearing, the abuse of umpires and players. It isn't just football either, it happens across all sports.

Channel's season seems to be going from bad to worse, Tough man Chris "wacko jacko" Jackson has applied to leave the club and heading back to Hounville i have been told. Wonder if coach Lamprill will stay on again next year with his struggling side?
St Virgils are also a chance to pick up James Kapellar, played some senior footy back in the day with glenorchy, a handy sportsmen when on the straight and narrow!
Been told by close sources that he has signed already, hopefully can escape the random drug testing done at this level.

the richmond/hutchins game reports are a lot of hot air ! bugger all to it from what i saw. some hutchins people shouldnt throw mud as it was them who were giving it to the richmond boys and supporters from where i sat that fired things up

put some time into cleaning up your facilities boys , dam disgrace down there

move on .

I agree alot of hot air wasnt to bad at all... everyone supports their side especially when theres a bit of a biff...

who will win this week?

Interesting to see Irish bagging the queenborough facilities when he seems to either play or support the SHSB sharks... dont they use queenborough to?

As a ex Channel Saints player (i refuse to call them the Sharks) of 20 years i hate to see the club going like this. The club was struggling badly when i moved interstate 2 years ago and was just wondering if the future is looking bright or will it be more years of hurt. From their results this year i see great improvement but after the weekend im not sure.

Snake Island this weekend big fella, lookout OHA:p

There is certainly a long way to go, I think as much as Channel have improved from last year, it's been found out the hard way that the whole competition has also stepped up a notch. I don't see the hurt continuing for another three years but I guess time will tell. I belleive had Channel managed to hold off Richmond in the first game and win the season would have panned out a hell of a lot differently. But I guess thats life

good old sharks !!! love the ground its the facilities that need some work !!!

Ahhh Snakey, nothing like the old weekend bonding session to bring the boys together. Hopefully it will do the trick and have a few for me DM41

Scott Jury is set to jump ships and return to a State League Club, whats going on over at OHA? I was at the game where he kicked 10 goals against Channel, Scott is a vital part of the forward structure if OHA want to be in the Finals.
Has about 40 goals for the season and would be there number 1 go to man in front of goals.
