past it he kicked nearly 70 goals last year from most of the year at chf ,kicked 9 goals in 1 half of football against oha when they decided to put him fullforward,on probert made him looking second rate, past it dont think so ,old yes lol,not bad 4 a old bastard on 1` leg,he will worry alot at fullforwards this year once again,

Why would he worry alot of fullforwards? cant see him playing full back if he did Sam Bowering would be licking his chops, and yes he did have a day out kicking 9 in the second half of a game aganst OHA although OHA were 70 up at half time and put the cue in the rack.

No way he kicked nearly 70 goals last year i'd be checking your records champ!

sorry ment to say fullbacks, sam bowering haha what a joke he would struggle to get a kick on mat honey,he is just as good fullback as he is fullforward, and yes may have been 70 points up but he nearly one them the game off his own boot that day,one of the best indervidiual efforts ive scene by anyone in a long time

well it would have been pretty close not sure but he was kicking on average of 5 goals a game early to mid season,

54 so not far of the mark - you must be pulling my chain to think Honey would do any good at full back, if he was any good there he would have played on Bowser when he kicked 11 in 3 quarters out at Cadburys early in the season.

Ships still won the game by 35 points was a great effort by Matt but game was always over at half time.

U seem to know alot about Dosa how is the recruiting going to replace Allan and Rogers?

I spoke with ARCHER,S brother during the week and he said "if he plays it will be in the old scholars, as he had rejected a couple of substantial offers to play SFL as it was too far to travel to training, from where he works. He said he will make a decision in the next few days, Uni, St virgils and OHA were mentioned.

Archer to OHA, Clarence connections have got him there. Will now be a very difficult forward line at OHA to match up on I would think.

Very good player is Archer will play at either end, has great hands and seems his injuries are all behind him.

Anyone have any news on the other clubs recruiting?

Tell me that OHA are only paying the required 3 players, and i will call you a liar. OHA = no better then Richmond and Uni

Archer hasn't signed with OHA.

So Dosa only payed 3 players last year - I think not (Harvey,Allan, Rogers, Penwright) and probably 1-2 others. look in your own backyard before you start throwing stones.

I can't comment on Dosa financially, i wouldn't have a clue. However, i never claimed that they didn't/wouldn't unlike you 6 months ago.

So why would you bag out other clubs if your not sure that your club isn't doing the same thing? Lunn is another who would have been paid last season.

Sour grapes perhaps?

And I stand by what I wrote 6 months ago it was true I know that for a fact!

Considering Harvey, Allan & Penwright were coaching I don't believe that would be a problem..
Rogers, well, who knows..

Next..

ok lol, lets say he plays fullback mat honey fullforward do you realy think he would be any match body on body dont think so, as 4 speed put that ball infront of him and he would be as quick as anyone,as 4 energy its not all about fitness, its about reading the play, betta than the apponent

ah yes that good old DOSA tried and true attitude, all your points are valid but they are 5 years ago maybe when Matt was mobile, everyone knows his body is not what it used to be and Mantis is very, very quick. Matt wouldn't have the opportunity to play a body game with Mantis because DOSA's onballers are average deliverers of the ball so it would be up in the air, Mantis would jump and spoil like he does to other big fella's then run off for a handball recieve from the crumbs whilst Mat would shuffle back to the goalsquare. As for fitness it appears that it hasn't been an important part of DOSA's game plan since the Perry days. Their weakness every year is their inability to pressure the opposition onballers because they cannot run both ways, it is a pre-requiaite at DOSA to be an onballer you have to either be 5kg's overweight or look a million dollars and be a ball muderer (Abrahams) or have no engine and be injury prone and when all else fails blame the forwards for not taking marks or kicking straight;)

Oh sorry did I say that out aloud:eek:

Hopefully DOSA will have a good season but they really need to look for a new direction. The OSFA appears to have left them behind, can't keep playing guys who train x 1 per week and their sole focus ea week is to sink as many cans as possible!

woopdi doo team of year fullback & fullforward,he has not played against dosa yet champ, looking forward to that game, they have one bloke at dosa that would make him look second rate,
And that would be?? Have they picked up someone we don't know about? because pretty sure no one up there would be enjoying the thought of playing on him! but dont be afraid to put the name out there for us all to see.

Stop living in the decade before last old scholar! No contest in 2009 Mantis hands down:thumbsu: its been awhile since you watched both of them obviously!!

OHA have picked up Rogers, where will he play? and if they get Archer where would he play? Have OHA lost many players? It appears they will be stronger than last year.

A 'LOT' has been spoken about DOSA recently. My question is, how did it get to a situation where 3/4 of their spine (Allen/Lunn/Rogers) are all gone? I realise each case is probably different but still...

Well i must admit that it was the Dosa footy clubs decision to get rid of
Scott Allen, Wombat was keen to kick on as a player/coach but the commitee went with Harvey.

In relation to Lunn and rogers, Dosa tryed very hard to keep these two key position player's in there side including offering a great deal of Cash. But Mantis wanted to taste premiership success and Lunny wanted to head back to his old club North Hobart.

Dosa Chocker, you are a absolute knob jockey!! I don't think you realised that dosa was only 2 points away from a GF last year. And although Abrahams can kick the odd floater, he is definetly in the top brigade of on-ballers in the comp.

Not to mention running lightening quick 1k time trials atm of around the 3:10 mark. typical Dosa 'fat slow onballer'.
