Happy with this move. Well suited to the Fly game plan.

The club have been smart and used 2022 to get the game plan right and are now slowly bringing in players that suit that style.

Markov has the attributes that are perfectly suited to our current game plan. Speed - tick. Interceptor - tick, decent kick - tick.

The players at the club that lack pace and or skills should be nervous. The notable exception re pace is Mitchell.

Plenty of cheers around the ground whenever he got the ball.
Crowd favourite.
I'm a fan
Yep I was hearing that too. We love Oleg! I can proudly say I’ve rated this bloke from the start!
He couldn’t be a more perfect fit in this Collingwood side. Personifies the culture and is perfect for our game plan.
I reckon we all do a picket line in front of the AIA centre if he’s ever dropped!

Is he genuinely getting better every week? The cement is also fully set and dry in our 22 now.

When he burst through the guts today and and but an inside 50 target (possibly adams or Elliot, have gone blank) his reaction showed how much he is enjoying playing. The grin would have been visible from the moon.

Love watching Leggy live, he celebrates on the ground like he's a supporter in the stands. You can tell he is enjoying his time in the black and white.

In the third quarter after a run through the middle and he kicked to Elliott he did a bit of a dance in the centre square - hope there's some footage of that.
I saw that too, it was brilliant!!

I was right there and truly believe it was a jumper clash. It happened a few times to both sides in the first qtr. Ludicrous that Dockers were not wearing their away white guernsey today.
Agree. At the ground it wasn’t easy to tell the teams apart in the beginning. I feel I got used to it early in the game as did the players.

Great to see the club having some luck for a change smart drafting

Shocking wasn't it? From the back you couldn't tell them apart, and then the front with the stripes made it confusing, particularly if you have a split second decision to make with a quick glimpse.

Definitely. Not sure how that was approved. Freo should have been in their white guernsey.

Thought Markov was great today. His ball use has really improved in the weeks he has been the side and he is with the help of our play-style, making an underdog case for best 22. Well done Oleg, keep it up.

He's becoming an important cog in our run off hb now Nicks in the midfield.
Has cleaned his kicking and decision making up considerably since season start and proving his doubters wrong myself included.

Love him. The type of personality that makes football clubs a great place to be around.

His infectious enthusiasm isn't only evident within the four walls, but is now catching on with the supporters in the stands. Every time he got the ball, and started sprinting like a maniac you could hear the excitement reach fever pitch.

A real cult figure that has warmly embraced us, and it's now being reciprocated towards him.

I like watching him play and he seems like a great guy, but I never really thought he'd be able to force his way into the team - at best I thought he could be a handy sub with his pace.

But wow his last month has been pretty incredible and you can't really think about dropping him at the moment. He's cleaned up his disposal and his decision making seems a lot better and quicker, was part of a few really nice quick handball chains that a couple of months ago he would've either fumbled or missed the target.

I haven't watched the game a second time, but feel like 3-4 goals in the first half were created from his relentless run and aggression out of the backline.
That defensive mix is so settled and works so well together that I was reluctant to introduce anyone new, but he really has slotted in well while complementing the skills of each of our other defenders.

His fearlessness to run and attack at every opportunity is forcing us to play the right way you've got to give him an enormous amount of credit for putting himself in the position where he's forced himself into the 22.

1 week at a time and all that but anyone think he could be a candidate for Gary Rohan in a few weeks?
