I think it’s a simple case of Ollie wanting to move on, there are Vic clubs that have always made it known they will have him back, and the club i think will be willing to let him go. We will get good compo for him.
treloar Shiel beams Gibbs all went for 2 firsts with a second round going back. Neale went for a early first and early second.
Maybe I am becoming too cynical, but there has to be some suspicions as to the reasons why Kane Corner would follow the mother of a reportedly/possibly disgruntled player on social media.
I like Ollie and if he changed his mind and wanted to stay, I'd be ok with it.
IF he does leave, I am concerned that 2019 trade period is going to be when we could have extracted maximum value from him. Either we need a big back half of the season from him or we need to encourage him to nominate a club that is desperate for an inside mid (that isn't Essendon) and we'll hopefully get a first round pick somewhere.
Round 1, 2004:
Acting Captain Warren Tredrea enters his 8th season, as a 25 year old with 130 games under his belt
Round 1, 2020:
Former co-captain Ollie Wines enters his 8th season, as a 25 year old with 141 games under his belt
What happened, fam?
At last ... thanks ...There appears to have been some discussion overnight about unsubstantiated rumours in this thread.
These posts have been deleted as there is no confirmation about the rumours and given the hateful nature of some of the less-broader minded troglodytes in the community, it is best not to leave players open to unsubstantiated attack.

I didn't see them but from what another poster has said, this thread has definitely attracted some numpties that want to see Ollie Wines playing for another club asap. These numpties forget to think about the detriment this could bring to their so-called beloved PAFC. F*ckwits of the highest orderI can't believe what they said

I see it as a definite loss for the club given that next years draft is weak. The club would have to get 2 first round draft picks to break even in my opinion. Personally, I would like to see Ollie stayNeither did I.
I don't feel strongly about Ollie staying or not, but I do think it's likely a win-win situation for us, no matter what he chooses to do. What detriment are you concerned with?

Good point on the draft, but I'm not sure you've considered we could also get a player or a 2021 pick. Lots of ways this could play out well for us if we don't roll over.
Yep, thats a good point too but its hypothetical, we could win but I still think we would lose in that scenario. The best result would be for Ollie to stay as I think he is still a very valuable player for PortGood point on the draft, but I'm not sure you've considered we could also get a player or a 2021 pick.
