Got me thinking.
Instead of an empty pre-finals bye weekend, what about a one weekend round between teams finishing 9 to 18?
They could play for improved an draft position (say one improved spot).
So 9 v 10 play for draft position 9 (the loser gets 10), 11 v 12 for draft position 7 (loser gets 8) and so on.
Imagine a battle between 17 and 18 for the top pick.
Could get ugly in an interesting sort of way.
(Would beat a boring no game weekend.)
