Compare with the premier? They are the no I team. Their fixture is easy cos Every other club is below them.
We get a draw that allows big clubs to match up and get big crowds.
We also get runs of games where we don't leave the G.
So we get 3 games at home and Geelong don't play a genuine home game until Round 6.
Our draw didn't help us and it didn't help Geelong. Not in the 8 are they..

It's just lazy 'journalism' and clickbait these days. Not that it's ever been incredible, but it's so disposable now, that they really don't care about the credibility of articles.
The words they use are clickbait, and that's all they care about. Responses to articles / tweets, having the articles / tweets shared and talked about are EXACTLY what they're wanting.

Combined with the fact that that champion data keep 70% of the interesting stats to themselves (and the media who have access) there is so much potential for them to do interesting analysis using that data that we as fans don’t have access to
Maybe it's time for our club to stop whoring ourselves out for these games early doors, give up the season opener, anzac eve, etc. we don't need to do this anymore, it's not 2010 where we are searching for members. Our fixture in the first 7 games is repetitive, its actually boring.
2023 we play car, ade, coll, dogs, syd, melb in our first 7 games.
2022- car, ade, dogs, melb,
2021- car, dogs, melb, syd
2020- car, coll, melb, syd
2019- car, dogs, melb, coll, syd
2018- car, ade, melb, coll,
2017- car, ade, dogs, melb, coll
2016- car, ade, coll, melb
Every damn year we play at least 4 of the same teams in the first 7 rounds.
And as a result of early season G games, we get a glut of games on the road later on like we have this year.

I can't remember when I last saw really insightful analysis from the AFL journos. An ex-coach may say something useful. But really good analysis, no way.
When Dimma does his 'private' talks to members he provides more insight, and he is keeping anything really insightful behind closed doors.

100% I’ve been lucky enough to go to a few of those higher grade membership coaches talks and they are actually really interesting and change the way I watch games
Would be fantastic to see some deeper dive analysis from ex coaches and players in the media instead of the low hanging fruit click bait

Yeah. He actually explains things like why Brisbane play the way they do versus how we play. And therefore how we set up etc. Not real detail, but so mcuh more than he pundits.
You watch the, whatever they call King etc, on the TV and you are none the wiser. They have he stats and can talk to the coaches, and it's all surface crap. Depending on the poster you get more insight on here

i just saw the 2 incidents of floggerfield eye contact and studs up how the hell did he not get sighted i am beyond angry how that weak dog can get away with everything while players like merrett and adams get done for a footy action with a simple tackle
What about the Pies guy who got a lesser suspension than Broad and he forearmed his opponent in the head and knocked him out.

i dont give a crap how you tackle the tackling player can not control the tackle when the player he is tackling sometimes falls to the ground to try win a free or his momentum contributes to it being a dangerous tackle ffs this is turning me off the game along with all the other bs rules
A bit like how Grimes was fined for diving in the 2019 QF led by the Geesook cheer squad leader at the time Cameron Ling but come the 2019 PF and Miers went down like he was shot after Houli brushed him off and no fine and no comments from Ling and then come the GF out come the diving calls again from Dingaling against Grimes.
