Reckon the Blues will drop some more games in the run home and may even fall to 9th.
I genuinely believe finishing 9th would be the best thing that could happen for us this year. The coaching staff & players would be angry about missing out and therefore work even harder on the deficiencies holding us back. It would also give us one more trade & draft period to tighten up the palying list as we still have some deadwood that needs to be dealt with.
Yes. Hard to believe, isn't it?That’s from a Carlton supporter?
sticky thisNo, that's from a Carlton follower. Big difference between a follower and supporter.
Before I came to Big Footy it was hard to believe. Now its barely an eybrow raise.........Yes. Hard to believe, isn't it?
I told you what would happen, but oh no..........Before I came to Big Footy it was hard to believe. Now its barely an eybrow raise.........
No words
I remember when having the lowest percentage in the 8 was a really, really bad thing and a sign that the team didn't belong and were pretenders (apparently when it was us earlier in the year).Pies have the worst % in the 8 (106.2)

Now, apparently the team with the 9th best percentage is the flag favourite... the only team above 14th on the ladder to lose to WC (even North beat them), whilst barely scraping over the line against 12th, 13th, 14th (twice), 15th, 16th and 18th.
Meanwhile, they got Dees without May or McDonald.
Blues missing Kennedy, Pittonet, McKay and losing Weiters in the 1st.
I don't really know the Freo side well enough to know who they were missing, other than Fyfe, but Pies dropped 5 spuds for that one and brought back Pendles, Cox, Elliott and Ginni.
They got Freo on a super wet day and Freo tried to play dry weather footy.I remember when having the lowest percentage in the 8 was a really, really bad thing and a sign that the team didn't belong and were pretenders (apparently when it was us earlier in the year).

That's it. I knew there was something I was missing. Cheers. They got Freo on a super wet day and Freo tried to play dry weather footy.
Not me. I'm supremely confident of a win next time we meet. Especially if we can keep our players healthy and get Pitto back. Some of the Collingwood commentary here smacks a little of the kid whistling his way through the cemetary at night. "I'm not scared, nothing to be scared of, no such thing as ghosts!"
Wait till they lose their experienced players in the next 1-2 years. That's it. I knew there was something I was missing. Cheers.
You've gotta take advantage of the luck when it comes your way, but at some point that luck will dry out.
I'm predicting an Essendon type fall next year, with a harder draw and the 50/50 games not all going their way. It's unsustainable to keep playing games that close and expecting to win.
Wait till they lose their experienced players in the next 1-2 years.
Agree, we should beat them next time, hopefully they'll be all out of luck, and petrol tickets, by then. In fact there's a good chance we'll play them twice in a row. That would be interesting indeed. If I could control the future it would be:Not me. I'm supremely confident of a win next time we meet. Personally I'm just pointing out that their current record, whilst good, is massively inflating the perception of how good they are. They're barely scraping over the line against average teams. The odds are against that continuing to happen.
Is that the equivalent of Fadge pretending to be a Collingwood supporter? No, that's from a Carlton follower. Big difference between a follower and supporter.
Whilst I do think that their current ladder position and win/loss record flatters them a lot, they do also have some pretty good kids coming through.Wait till they lose their experienced players in the next 1-2 years.
