When you questioned my stance as a poster, Carlton was hinging on top 4. Now you've grown accustomed to pushing for finals as the minimum. Bet you didn't see that coming did you! I feel vindicated in the fact that you've been brought back down to Earth, as much as you hate to admit it. I feel vindicated that it's clear Carlton are going to be cannon fodder in finals even if their fixture allows them to notch enough wins to make it as per what their performance has since illustrated.

And no, there's no "coming back" for you. We're not suddenly shifting the goal-posts for you just because your side (and your analysis) has shat the bed and left you speechless. Just because you're not man enough to own up to it in the present, with the same energy that you had when you were happy to gloat in the midst of it. I'm not unhappy with Collingwood's rise because they're overachieving. They're a decent chance to make the grand final and get rolled again because they're simply not that good, just on a tear.

It's waaaay funnier watching their hope build through the first half, their jaws clench and their consumption of beer and cashews increase, their attitude go from jubilation to anxiety to the facial expression that only happens after the opposition goes a goal up with less than 5 minutes to go in a grand final.

Incredibly Carlton will get to Round 20 and still have not played second or third. The softest team in the league and also the most overrated. They have had one top 3 side and were humiliated. For God sake let them make finals as they will be humiliated again.

First it was “Carlton haven’t beaten a Top 8 side”, weeks after beating Sydney. Now it’s “Carlton will get to Round 20 and still have not played second or third”, incredibly that already happened in Round 6 and Round 14 when Fremantle were 2nd and 3rd on the ladder respectively.

Unlikely - although they've got a tough draw, you'd think they'll snag at least one win out of 4, and that's all they'll need to be certain.
