This is the point... 73 could easily become a pick in the mid 60s after WB uses all of the late picks that they reviewed back from Collingwood get chewed up matching a very early bid for JUH and Sydney with there academy kid.
 
In the end we have orazio and he’s a port player and I hope to see the best of him but ultimately I’m a realist and have my doubts.

I fully expect him to have moments of brilliance and fans excited for a while then become the token whipping boy.

Very nervous about next years draft. We’re going to have a tonne of retirements in 2021 and we can’t afford to only be bringing in jones and Burgoyne through the draft in 2 years.

It's done now and he's one of us. Hopefully he can get his body right and free up Butters and Rozee to spend more time in the middle.

Kind of... everyone is trading out of this draft. I doubt anyone is giving up much for pick 29, maybe a future third?

Next year is a completely different kettle. We'll have a first rounder next year, and we will absolutely have some capital via some trades. We'll have our plans in place.
 
The talent is clearly there, we just need to get his body right. I trust our high performance team to get the most out of him.

When healthy he's clearly in our best 22. Frees up Rozee and Butters to have more time in the midfield. All just comes down to ensuring that we can keep him on the park, because we know when he's healthy he generally delivers.

Between 2017 and 2019 inclusive, his goal/game was high enough such that he would've kicked 30 in each year had he been healthy for the entire season. I have a good feeling about this.

You are far more optimistic than I am. The first rounder next year should absolutely be used and not traded.

That’s next year’s problem and we can trade our way back in.

We have definitely overpaid here and that annoys me more because I didn’t even want him to begin with. But he’s here now so hopefully he/we can get his body right and he can be of some use.

Considering that we practically stole Aliir from the Swans makes the overall result look fine. I mean two 2nds and a 3rd for AA and Fanta sounds like good business as a package.

People still acting as though free agency isn’t a thing. Retirements mean cap space. If we get Bontempelli next year - and Bulldogs bringing in Treloar while retaining Dunkley makes it possible that the Dogs will have salary cap issues - what’s the problem?
