Longmire 13 years and 1 flag. If he was a Victorian coach he’d be pressured to be sacked

I assume like Bucks did after his announcement, Simmo will coach one last game.
They would give him that respect at least surely.
Bit different with Bucks, considering he was at the club for around 25 years.

Or South Australian coach?

In 13 years he’s won one Premiership, played in 4 Grand Finals, played in 11 of 13 finals series + you’d think he’d be a lock to play in this one.

He’d be the fourth most successful coach in the comp over that period. Any club wanting to sack a coach with that record would be nuts.

I've said it before, but outgoing coach press conferences are cringeworthy.

I don't see it in any other sporting code or competition, just the AFL.
They're uncomfortable to watch, some more so than others depending on the circumstances...but I think supporters of the club are entitled to a press conference to hear from both the club & the coach.
