unfortunately i can see haw over-running doggies all over the park >> this is what i think will happen

hopefully it's a dry night and the doggies forwards (Darcy & JUH) get a hold of em >> this is what i hope happens

Hawks are the form team of the comp. They've been absolutely smacking teams. Only lost 3 games since round 7 and in 2 of them, they were 5 goals up early in the last and stuffed up the end game scenario. So only one team has actually outplayed them. The other loss was straight after their bye when they came out looking like they were still on their bye.

They're playing a different style to the other teams - charging at tacklers and drawign them in, with support runners out wider away from the tackle pressure. No one has combatted it yet.

At $12 for the flag, I think they're the best bet. But who knows, they may go belly up when the heat of the finals adds to the tackle pressure.

We should be united in our goal and mark of the year voting . Otherwise 50% of pies supporters will vote for each pies player and 100% of non pies supporters will vote for Reid’s goal or durrsmas mark

If we're going to make a go of it next year - Hawks will be main mob in our way

I don't know. To me their edge is their game style. Their players aren't exceptional. If their game style gets targeted, I think they'll go back into the pack.

disappointing for mine. we definitely need defensive support for Moore with Howe likely retiring in 12 mths and Frampton very hot n cold

thought we might pick him up relatively 'cheaply' (albeit we previously had him on our list)

sure he's not elite 1v1 but his intercept marking and overall game sense have improved markedly. reckon the upward trajectory will continue and his ceiling will surprise a few. will be a key player for them over the next 2-3 years

Agree. I’ve been against it ever since Richmond as premiers were effectively gifted pick 3 to recruit Tom lynch.
Yep. That's a good way of looking at what actually occurs. The acquiring club gets a free draft pick that gets used in trade to stop the other club from matching. To

# of finals win since Essendon's winless finals streak commenced:

Geelong = 24 (4 flags)
Sydney = 20 (2 flags)
Collingwood = 18 (2 flags)
Hawthorn = 16 (4 flags)
West Coast = 14 (2 flags)
Port Adelaide = 11 (1 flag)
Western Bulldogs = 11 (1 flag)
Richmond = 10 (3 flags)
GWS = 9
Adelaide = 8
St Kilda = 8
Fremantle = 7
Brisbane Lions = 7
Melbourne = 6 (1 flag)
North Melbourne = 5
Carlton = 4

Essendon and Gold Coast have no finals wins in that time.

With other Hawks players? Or just his non footy playing mates?
Reported by SEN.
They didn’t say anything about other players, so probably just his mates.

I'm not sure why, as a professional athlete you'd want to be drinking beers at the pub before a final.

Btw, Kelly also said we didn't have a problem with Ginni going to the races before the GF. Clearly we did.
He was drinking water Mitch said.
