Only so many times you can get obliterated in a Grand Final before you have to realise there's a decent chance you're not taking them to glory anytime soon.

Like, even in the 2012 Grand Final that they won, they were kind lucky to win it. Had Hawthorn kicked a bit straighter they end up winning 4 in a row

In 2016 similar story. If the Bulldogs kicked straighter they get blown away in another Grand Final.
