Hard to believe that Port took the Blues lightly. Some of the "rested" were necessary. Dixon for one. Some were simply omissions, eg. with Duursmar returning. Don't know their list well enough to know about the others.

I think they felt it was necessary. Two biggest games of the year in the next two weeks. Decided if they didn't keep some of these players out they'd be little chance of getting up for those big games.
Don’t flirt with your form. Port married it

Supportive?
2 weeks ago…it was “he’s at a place that now values him”…

To now “he has to go back to the VFL and work on his forward craft”….

It didn’t even last a season before they turned on him.

I’ve heard the VFL is a cover for a drug strike, like Clarry and indeed Gunston and Rich. How accurate that is remains to be seen.

Outside of that, it’s very strange to drop Grundy to work on his forward craft when he’s primarily been a ruckman and surely was recruited to tandem with Gawn. The emergence of Van Rooyen hasn’t helped, either.

It was a tad strange that Gunston & Rich didnt play reserves..

I highly doubt Grundy has a drug problem if that's what you're inferring..

Weed is a banned substance.

I found it weird but then again, the AFL news cycle never fails to disappoint with weird or abnormal or out-of-character behaviour. I never expected Jack Crisp to be into adult anatomical media production. Not judging, just a little odd when I associate him with being a family guy.

Grundy's not playing in the AFL because the Dee's made a big mistake.

Stop being a gossip merchant and clatter farting.

To spread every false rumour about players that you can garner from every single social media platform?

There’s no definitive proof it’s definitely false and I clearly raised it as a rumour from the start.

The whole point of BigFooty is to have a platform to talk about the game and see what others have to say. Naturally, rumours are going to emerge and provided they’re flagged as so, they’re not inherently evil. I was interested to see if anyone else had heard anything. Last year, I actually learnt so much about trade news from rumours. Some accurate, some not.

I’m not into spreading malicious rumours but I am into open and robust conversation which should involve the discussion and debate of said fables. I didn’t come out and state Grundy was a drug addict.

You inferred he's in the VFL because it's a cover for those on drug strikes and his drug of choice could be weed.

I am not bagging you out here, but it's one thing to use BigFooty to speculate and share reputable trade/FA gossip and sharing unsubstantiated rumours about player's personal conduct for no reason, and you have a bit of a track record for doing this.

It is highly improbable that Grundy is missing due to a illicit drug infraction, as at their first strike players are only fined and forced to undergo counselling, and for their second strike which involves a four game suspension, the offending player has their name made public. Here is a link to an article explaining the drug strike policy: How the new AFL illicit drugs policy works

You could have found the likely answer to your own rumour with a bit of research. Social media is full of horseshite

I could see Grundy smoking a spliff while sipping on a soy latte.
