Settle, there won’t be riots

Vic based supporters will still have the same number of MCG games (and MCG home games) they can attend because a Queensland game would be taken from one of our home Marvel games. And they’ll be able to attend more games than the home supporters of most other clubs.

Collingwood is a national brand so it’ll be a packed stadium of locals supporting Collingwood wherever we play. All the more so in Queensland where we have a decent following.

And if Collingwood do go ahead with this, they’ll be smart about it and do it on their own terms, just like they’ve done with Swans games. ie: before the AFL impose it on them as a result of the competitive review.

What “do it on their own terms” looks like is scheduling it in school holidays in the height of winter to make it accessible and appealing to Vic based supporters to fly up and attend.

Thats not as bad you are right. I personally don't mind the etihad game (not bragging but a mate who works in collingwoods sponsorship ranks always has tickets left over for these games) The gold coast game we play every year looks to be at least 70/30 in collingwoods favor

That being said, Im pi55ed off about the round 0 crap that looks like its going ahead again, AFL's mission is to make these rugby northern states good, and give them any leg up they can... I cant remember what the stats were but the reigning premier almost never starts the season at home... what a joke, should always be round 1 at home to unfurl the flag.

Totally agree.... Except its even worse for jones, 300 game player, and lead them through probably the darkest period in their history, the geelong blowout, mark neeld etc.....

Its damage control for sure, bring him in and hope he convinces trac and clayt to stay
Or, because he is mates with them and is disgruntled....he convinces them to leave and undermines the guys he's p1ssed at.

He's developing a history as one of the worst CEOs ever
Not sure how outsiders can assess CEO performance, but by the measuring stick of financial success and flags, he has overseen two pretty successful clubs. Two stints of 10 and 6 years means he did plenty right.

Bad CEOs get punted quickly.

Also being a CEO is not a popularity contest.

This is the real change that’s needed

Good for Melbourne

Clearly the Review results aren't going to be good for him lol

A few years ago, Caro used the phrase that Frankston was 'Moe by the Sea'. Having lived in Frangers for a few years in my younger teaching days, I believe she was spot on.
Horsehead could aptly be termed the "Moe of the Media"

The mark of a good or bad CEO is did they leave the joint in better or worse nick than what they found it?

By any measure - financial position, membership count, Premiership count, facilities, number of teams, game attendance, brand value (re: sponsorship) - Collingwood was in a far far better condition at the end of Pert’s tenure than the start.

Oliver saga as well.

It's funny as footballers I preferred Pert over Roos. Roos gave me the shts.

However post football I much prefer Roos over Pert. Roos appears to be very genuine. Where as Pert seems like a salesman imo.
Of all the ex-Fitzroy players we did or didn't get, the one I wanted the most was Bernie Quinlan.
We would have beaten all these other f**kers to 17 if it wasn't for the short-sightedness and tightarsedness of some of our previous administrations.

I don't recall much of super boot. Was meant to be a beautiful kick?
