I've got relatives who are die hard Geelong supporters. Whenever his name comes up, I assure them he's going to be a gun.

But if last night stays (stays not becomes) the norm and he doesn't develop the way we expect, he could absolutely not make it.

I'd be super surprised if he didn't make it. He might not become an A+ player, that's possible. But he'll be a good player.

It was in Geelong, to be fair. But they have the same problems that have plagued them all year: a brutal stoppage game, which often means slow movement, but without the firepower up forward to clunk big marks.

On a side note did anyone see him last night in a tight contested situation on the wing; he did this bizarre twitchy sidestep, blind turn, handball to a bloke 2m away. Absolutely shat himself.

The main problem with stupid rumours is the stupid people who believe them.

AFL policy is that on a second strike the player cops a 4 match ban and their name is made public.

As for their name being made public, that's interesting isn't it? Because I can't recall off the top of my head, a player being suspended for 4 matches and ever being publicly named for a second strike...

..which must mean there never has been a player to receive a 2nd strike (at least not recently). Again, interesting, considering how rife drug use apparently is amongst players in the AFL.

No second strikes(made public) doesn't surprise at all - and there is the loophole of mental health disorder treatment plan, which if signed off by the AFL, means a player can avoid suspension. Clearly not the case with this b/s rumour which has Oliver suspended.

Next time you get asked what the rumour is, you can provide some factual background to dismiss it, rather than repeat it.

The rumour was already on BF on this current thread. I only repeated what was posted on here by multiple people. Maybe go back through the thread and lecture all of them who repeated the rumour.

I'm actually not interested in any rumours. I only answered a simple question and got lectured and constantly harassed for it by sideswipe, who I am now putting on ignore.
