Eagles won 2 games last year and 1 this year. Lose the rest and they would have won 3 of 45.
Suspect if they get a priority pick, it will be after the first round, so pick 19.

Just imagine being the best kid in the country, and having to go there.

That the Highest PP should be - After the 1st Round or AFL Says they have to Trade the Pick

I know Reid is the number 1, but they will seriously have to think about go home factor. I think they should split the pick. Would destroy them having to trade him out like a JHF situation
There's already talk that they may try to split the number 1 pick for multiple first round picks.

They have pretty much said they will trade pick 1 already if they end up last.

Jeezus, Eagles have become an absolute joke. Getting beaten by 10 goals week after week, and then Sydney by 170 when they're not even in the 8... it must be soul destroying.

Oh well. So it goes.

But seriously, it's a blight on the integrity of the game when you factor in that some teams get to play them twice. The points, as well as the % boost, are serously skewing the way the finals will shape up.

Surely Simpson isn't the coach of WC come Monday, even if he walks on his own accord.
Ch7 reporting that to pay him out, pay the soft tax penalty will mean $7million from the toast needs to be spent.
And that’s before paying a new coach.
They are in a corner with no way out.
Oh, and can you imagine the outrage when the richest club in the league asks for a priority pick? Because you can bet they will.

No wonder the board is saying they support Simpson for the now and the future!!
There is no way the AFL could even contemplate giving the Weagles a priority pick. They did win a premiership just 4.5 years ago!!

I see Prince Clarry is set to miss another game.

Remind me.

Didn't he play out the game in the match he supposedly hurt his hamstring in?

Seems odd.

What's interesting about WCE and simmo and this highlights how irrelevant they are but somehow they have extended his contract by an extra year. You can go find articles about the resigning until end of 2024 but this has mysteriously in the last 12 months become end of 2025.

With Nic Nat taking up a large portion of cap forever on the sidelines.

Isn't that after they met to discuss the necessary rebuild? And both club & Simpson decided at that time that he was the coach to take them through this rebuild stage? ..hence the extra year. And now they're kind of stuck with it due to the penalty they'd have to pay if they terminated his contract & had to pay him out.
