Worst AFL season in living memory, ending in another Geelong flag and grand final mauling. I only have the Brownlow to watch this September and the 2024 Spring Racing Carnival is around the corner.

Add to that we are not even in September at all and Ollie Henry is going to be a premiership player.

The AFL is dead if Geelong wins the flag and signs Bailey Smith which is all but certain.

Last time Geelong were in the GF it was the lowest rated grand final. Nobody outside Geelong fans will care about them winning another flag. It will be a Geelong-Hawthorn era of dominance in the next few years.

Games like this remind me of how good a finals team Collingwood have been throughout the decades. Even when not winning flags we rarely turn it up and have caused our share of upsets against more fancied opponents. We have a dip to coin an old phrase.
