One more session on Friday and then everyone back on deck on Monday.
There was a fair bit of conditioning happening this morning. First, early on, they started the session with some agility then some running about 20-30 metres from one end to another. Then later on in the session where most of them participated in two different sets of the shuttle run for 15 mins, from one set of cones to another. With 30 seconds break, until the last few mins where it was non stop.
No surprise that the endurance runners did exceptionally well in this -- Lippa, IQ, Ryan, Long, Allan. Reef did quite well.
Bobby and WHE struggled (not sure first time WHE seems to struggle with these shuttle runs, last pre-season too.. Not the sort of thing I assumed he would struggle with, given he covers a lot of ground)
Today's session also saw then do a few drills, including a pressure drill which was on my side of the ground, which was nice. Beau giving the do not argue was fun, and players struggle to take down Long.
After this they were another drill near the goals by the road where it appeared to focused on stoppages and running in numbers around a contest. Lippa did well here. He seemed to be really fit, and added a bit of pace. Whatever him and IQ did in the US clelarly is showing on the track.
IQ seemed to be a bit more trimmed. He is running really well, quicker, like with freedom that it didnt feel he had last season. He seems quicker and able to use his athleticsm.
Perryman seemed to train a bit more in defence today. I think we'll see him split some time between lines. Oscar and Smit split their training between forward and ruck, which I imagine we'll see them work together in games like this.
Oh and Harvey Harrison did his very first running session coming off his ACL.
Wade was back this morning, he went over to the rehab staff in change of HH's recovery, advising them from what it appeared, on things to do better with him.
I can imagine him saying -- Alright boys, I'm back, I'm taking over lol
Relax bro. Most of your posts are reasonably good.Given comments made regarding my conduct on this board I will be withdrawing from participation in discussions for the near future. I had not meant to have a negative impact on this board but an individual has made some judgements on my character that are simply not true and I will refrain from interactions with this individual for the near future. I will continue to browse and attempt to make any future interactions leaving a positive impact. Apologies to anyone I may have upset.
Honestly you’re fine. People get upset and take things the wrong way all the time, you’ve done nothing wrong.Given comments made regarding my conduct on this board I will be withdrawing from participation in discussions for the near future. And/or provide a strong option when they're injured or sore.Tew looked good in some of that video. Ryan looks fit and Reef looks like he has improved his stamina. Hopefully 1 or 2 of them push out a Howe, WHE or Sidebottom type in the near future.
The fact you felt the need to apologise mate rather than engage in a shitfight shows your character and you should post whenever you want.Given comments made regarding my conduct on this board I will be withdrawing from participation in discussions for the near future. Pressure is our trademark so stepping this up a notch i like to seeLove it - relentless tackling!
It was Apex who mocked your wake up time. Not sure they were actually new tbf lol Also I don't appreciate people mocking me.

Just pointing out that it wasn’t Tiger. At least not on that occasion. Not talking about that.
No one other than the injury gods is capable of pushing out Howe.Tew looked good in some of that video. Ryan looks fit and Reef looks like he has improved his stamina. Hopefully 1 or 2 of them push out a Howe, WHE or Sidebottom type in the near future.
Pure speculation but if Tew developed quickly playing a similar role with his athleticism I wouldn't be surprised if he took Howes spot in the backline. Howe doesn't have long imo.No one other than the injury gods is capable of pushing out Howe.
What a trade! No one other than the injury gods is capable of pushing out Howe.
Jenga!What a trade!
I am excited to see his development this year.Pure speculation but if Tew developed quickly playing a similar role with his athleticism I wouldn't be surprised if he took Howes spot in the backline. Howe doesn't have long imo.
I can't see Tew playing on talls any time soon. I thought Howe was really good last year. There was a patch mid year when they were swinging him back and forward and we needed 3 of him because he was our best defender and our best forward.Pure speculation but if Tew developed quickly playing a similar role with his athleticism I wouldn't be surprised if he took Howes spot in the backline. Agree with what you are saying both with Tew and Howe. Tew would play on the mediums and smalls and hopefully be a solid interceptor with his athleticism. Agree regarding talls for him. Howes still been good when he has been fit. But his athleticism is fading, imo he only has a year or two, and he will be a liability.I can't see Tew playing on talls any time soon. The speckies are virtually gone, but so too are the brain fades and his kicking has become sublime. I think he's become such a complete player that he'll be fine without the ridiculous leap, as long as injuries don't stop him.Agree with what you are saying both with Tew and Howe.
