I reckon there is plenty to work with at North - Mckay, Scott, LDU, Simpkin, JHF (assuming hes not already out the door), Zurhaar, Larkey ,Xerri. Probably missing a couple as well. They all have scope to be A graders for quite a while. I'd have just about all of those if the opportunity came up, especially the big boys, and I'd explode if we got LDU.

[Edit] Also got Tarryn Thomas who with the right guidance can be a very good player as well. Love if we had some feelers out to him too, but probably not what we need atm.

I don’t think their list is as bad as being made out. It’s not spectacular or anything but there’s a foundation there to build around.

Us beating Carlton is obviously ideal.

A draw between Brisbane and Melbourne would be great, as would St Kilda beating Sydney. If both of those incredibly unlikely things happen, along with us beating Carlton, we'd finish 2nd!

As much as I want him to prove to us why we're chasing him, it'd probably better if he keeps a low profile!

But the best part is he’s not going to Essendon. Trying to cut corners again Bombers. And treating your incumbent coach as if he’s worthless.
