Give it a week or do and he’ll learn to play Grundy we know again.

Pls posters don’t fall for it!

Sorry but wasn't he pretty much elite for you for a decade? Doubt he'll do much up forward in the season proper, but is the implication here that he was overrated at Collingwood?

Overpaid. Horrible in the air, never tapped to advantage. Being a ruck shouldn’t be paid over 600k. that’s always been the issue. He’s a great talented player, but can’t have someone like him taking up huge portion of cap

Not sure I agree overall, we wouldn't be half the team without Gawn as an example. Appreciate the intel overall.

Gawn has more strings in his bow than Grundy.
No he doesn't.

This revisionist assessment of a club champion is disrespectful. Grundy gave this club many years of loyal service, carrying us back into the finals from 2018 onwards. For his CV he asked no more than what we gave Moore and JDG last year.

Grundy isn't like an Ollie Henry who's achieved nothing and walked out on the club. He was someone we pushed out (in my view unnecessarily). We could do with his skillset in the team now

No, he wasn't.

He had a couple of sensational seasons, but he's never been a dangerous tap ruckman, or a dangerous forward - he struggled to mark!

But, he was excellent around the ground and could work of teams with one ruck. If he was ranked elite for hit outs, he struggled to actually hit to advantage.

That's just statistically untrue.

Possibly DeGoey and probably McStay and Mitchell. Whats more valuable
Yeah his manager said that Grundy could have stayed, but we wouldn't be able to make the trade moves we did. Mcstay maybe the only one given how it was done so early. Mitchell wouldn't be, as it seemed that move was dictated by the Grundy move even it was done late.

Exactly. But people like to moan.

No one is moaning. But the posters that are now attacking Grundy just look salty. It would be like Hawthorn supporters attacking Titch calling him just a stat plodding seagull and ignoring the fact he was a 2x club champion and ex-brownlow medalist and it was the club deciding to move him on.

It's ok to acknowledge Grundy was a star for the pies and will be a loss for us. Just as it's ok to acknowledge we managed to offset that loss in another area by getting Mitchell who has just as elite credentials but was pushed out by their previous club.

Don't think Richmond will be as good as the media are predicting.
I really hope so. Would love those arse wipes to miss finals.

Still think we could got Hill and Espically Frampton as they won't be on Huge $$$

Yea it would've been Mitchell. I'm glad we got Mitchell for cheap just as we gave away Grundy for cheap. He's the only one in terms of elite talent that could offset Grundy's loss in our team.

Although when we have a fully fit team, it's now hard to fit in all our midfielders vs having to play Cox as our second ruck instead of Cameron.
