Sure glad we don't have Max Lynch and Peter Wright on our list.

200cm+ players are shit.
Buckley said at half time they tried to make Lynch something other than just a ruck.

Would be very handy depth right now but no one invisinged Grundy going down and we couldn't guarantee Lynch any games in the seniors. Can't begrudge Lynch for seeking out opportunity elsewhere, can't really blame Collingwood for that either.

Not chasing a cheap as chips 200cm+ forward though... sheesh!

Why didn’t we get Peter Wright when he was going cheap? I know he’s inconsistent, but it’s better than having Bianco at FF.

No Idea as I really wanted us to get Peter Wright.

Type of Player we need

I suspect we didn’t have the cap space for him. I could be wrong, but I recall hearing something about the bombers also taking on his Gold Coast contract. Would be perfect for us right now…

Probably because we already had Cox. I blame him and his $550k pa contract for missing out on 2MP

Hows Ben Brown, 2MP , Coniglio, just to name a few going Apex, I thought they were all cooked, did I mention McDonald from Melbourne. It always comes back to bite. Gotta love self confessed experts

Well an interesting start to round 9 with Cameron resigning.

Cameron's contract is due up at the end of 2022 after he signed a two-year extension in 2020, and he and GWS had opted to put off discussions until the end of the season.

However Cameron faced the media on Thursday and said it had been a mutual decision and was the right call. He said he had met up with Giants chief executive David Matthews on Tuesday.

"I said I think it's the right time for the club to have a bit of breathing space to find the next senior coach," he said.

Cameron said that the club's next appointment was going to be for three or four years, not one.

Not surprising. Looks like exactly the same scenario and process as what we went through last year... At just slightly earlier in the season than us..

Like us, the coach was not going to get an extension, and had been there 10 years. Although GWS had more talented players on their list, many say that they should have snagged a Premiership...
Alas, like us, they fell one win short...

Look forward to Clarkson being appointed... The last thing that his mate Gillon will do before he leaves....

Hopefully they come out, bang up and beat Carlton make them cherry ripe for the picking for us when we play the cheats in Round 11.
