Carlton. They look good.

sad i feel sick GIF
It is only round 1 I would wait until round 4-5 before I would be convinced that there going to be a serious team this year. The carry on by the fox footy team at the moment is cringe as king especially describing them as sleeping giant I mean come on lol.

Cerra seems to dive forward every time he senses he will be tackled. 5 frees for & nearly all for in the back.
Tigers rucks & midfield was horrendous. They can’t play Nankervis & Soldo in the same team. Cotchin was a liability.

Cerra played well, but he's certainly adept at falling forward when he feels contact.

You're right that the Richmond middle was as poor as Carton's were good. Not enough time for Dustin in there, injury to Prestia, Cotchin looks like a player wanting to be elsewhere.

I don't know exactly when Prestia went off but it seemed to be about when Carlton got back on top. Media aren't mentioning that though 😂

The Tigers have a very poor midfield. Martin is passed his best I feel, Cotchin is gone and Prestia is eternally injured
For such a great player that he can be, Martin gets away with doing absolutely bugger all of the heavy lifting at times. Zero tackles again

Maybe we should have hired Voss.

Nope. We have the right coach I reckon. We just have to give him time.
we aren’t in a premiership window & haven’t been able to spend countless salary cap dollars on players every year.
In fact we have had to shed players. Oh yeah, thanks for nothing Ned.

Yeah with all the contracts and signings they have done last few years Carlton’s salary cap is probably about to burst so if they would want to play finals now or they are screwed.

With the endlless topping up with recruits like Cerra, Hewitt, Williams, Martin, Kennedy, McGovern and Saad and top draft picks you'd think they were due for a win or two.

There's more than enough talent on their list for them to be somewhat of a good side. Bastards.

Meh, I don't reckon their list build will win a flag based purely on the fact that they're Carlton.

And in 3-4 years they'll be rebuilding again and Vossy will be looking for a new job.

Who said anything about a flag? They're better and there's quality, but I still think they'll look average by the end of the season.

Vossy... lol.

I thought that about Melbourne but you’re correct it’s Carlton, different story.

Poor Richmond. I really hope things improve, because it was so romantic to see a club exiled in the premiership wilderness for so long have so much success recently. I just can’t handle that they might be cannon fodder again!

Geez that was painful to even contemplate joking about. Excuse me while I wash my brain out with battery acid.

Hopefully Richmond are indeed on the way down (missing finals again).

Watching a chain of play last night they had Ross go to Aarts, and then 5 seconds later Aarts got it again and went to Ross. It made me think: These are the players who weren't in the best 22, but once players like Ellis and Butler left they crept into the best 22 and are probably now cemented there despite not improving their own game that much, more so just filling a hole.

Takes me back to when we got both Madgen and Noble. Neither were supposed to be best 22 but somehow they've crept in there due to trade/injury/retirement 😢
