Ottens - What would we give up?

A choice between Ottens and Simmonds is tough.

Ottens has injury issues, would cost more and has ? over his mental strength. But, he is only 24, is a good ruckman and a very good forward when on. A better mark and kick that Simmonds IMO. His best year (2001), is so far better anything Simmonds has produced it's funny.

IMO, Simmonds is a safer bet (as long as it's not 4 or 5 years, WTF...!?!?!?!) but Ottens just may switch on and burn the comp up for 10 years.

I can live with giving away pick 10 and some midrange/older quality from certain positions, but if we lose Hale, Trotter or anyone like that, I will throw up.

So....Pick 10 & Sinclair = SOLD ??

Exactly where I was going.

That is my preference, but again, only for Ottens. Simmonds we could snare for less I reckon. Now, Jess I rate (at his best, very bloody highly actually) but as I have said for a while, if there is one possie we have covered, it's the HBF.

Urch will play 22 games, and if he gets bigger, stronger etc etc, Trotter will win the Rising Star award from a HBF/BP.

The problem with that theory is that Geoff Walsh said just a few days ago that Sinclair has indicated his preference to stay and was about to sign...

Earlier I was flicking through TV Channels, and noticed on Fox Sports Main Game they were discussing various things, and one of the topics was Ottens a Roo.. when it got there.. it was true or false- they asked Damian Barret.. and he believes Ottens will be a Roo..

Interestin stuff... never actually watched Fox Sports before..

Go Roos

I would be satisfied with Pick 10 and Hale for Ottens, but would really like to hold on to Hale.
I agree that we need key defenders, but a chance to take and Ottens only comes around every so often, and there aren't that many key defenders going around that are available.
I think we can realistically expect a Pick 10 and Hale for Ottens trade.

Hale for Ottens and Richmond’s second round pick, plus maybe a player as a sweetener for us.

i think jess sinclair has to be involved in the trade for ottens.

i cannot understand why we would want to keep him.

jess might be capable of playing good football

but his courage and commitment is not what north need atm.

Pick 10 + Corey jones for zantuck and ottens.

Pick 10 + J. Baird + Pick 9 (Corey Jones Trade to Crows)

That would be a seller I think.

I do rate Big Bad Johnny Baird, but he doesn't seem to be getting a run.
