Prediction Our Chances in the 2019 finals

I don't think we will be the bookies favourite, as the afl media and fans seem to fancy the bombers, but we have gotten the better of them since the days of Hird, So i fancy our chances
might change after we beat the Lions on the weekend :)

Yeah, massive game this weekend. Our biggest game for the year, no doubt. Lions have been in red hot form, we need to catch them on an off day and hit them hard at the contest. Finals type game, with us playing for everything, Brisbane looking to retain their top 4 spot.

Very excited, but also very nervous at the same time. Tend to feel better when we play good teams though.

I don’t feel as nervous about this week. We are going in as rank underdogs. No-one expects us to win this week and yet I don’t think playing Brisbane in Brisbane holds any fears for our players. If we play our game and hit them hard at the contest we will create enough opportunities to kick a winning score, it will come down to how accurate our goal kicking is. But even if we lose this week, while it makes it harder, we can still make it due to who the other teams have to play and the fact we play Adelaide in the last round. But if we do manage to get the win and back that up against the Bombers then we can probably afford to drop the game against GWS and still make it if we beat the Crows.

We should never have lost to the Saints and I’m still at a loss as to what happened to the Dogs players in that first quarter and a half, it’s like they completely forgot how to play, particularly Jack Macrae, but I’m just putting it down to an inexplicable loss of focus for a short period. If we can play like we have been other than that period, I think we can win this week and next. GWS will be hard but possible, that’s the one that worries me the most, but first let’s try and get this one. It isn’t the end if we lose but it does make it very hard.

Go Dogs!!!

We need to win at least 2 of 4 and then Adelaide and St Kildas form will come into it. 3 of 4 we probably get in. I can't see us beating the Brions this weekend or the Giants up there in two weeks time after the Bombers, who could beat us as well. Then we have to beat Adelaide in the Rat. Odds are against us and so they should be, losing to Gold Coast, Carlton and possibly St Kilda

If you just go on the theory that the favourites will always win then we have no chance. Most likely we will start as favourites in only 1 more game against Adelaide and the other teams like StKilda and Adelaide have easier remaining games than what we do, however, if it always went that way then we would all tip 9 winners every week. We all know that there are upsets that happen every week. Heck Carlton defeated Adelaide in the most recent round and Gold Coast almost and probably should have defeated Essendon. So it won’t go as everyone thinks it will. There will be upsets and it’s definitely still up for grabs.

No one will tip the Dogs this week and against GWS other than diehard optimistic Dogs supporters, but I have a funny feeling that we will end up pinching one of those games. Upsets happen every week in the AFL and often in multiple games. The Saints could well upset Adelaide also this week. About the only game where I would say there is no chance of an upset is Richmond over Melbourne. Hopefully when the upsets happen they go in our favour like they did last weekend and we play at our maximum level, no more repeats of the Saints game.

So I think this thing really does end up going down to the wire and will be decided up in Ballarat on the last Sunday of the season. I wish it was at Marvel because despite us having a couple of wins at Ballarat, we haven’t really played that well there yet.

How good is the run home, fingers crossed some results fall our way and makes our hunt for a top 8 spot a bit easier

Go North!
Go Bombers!

Who do we want to win? Saints or Crows?

saints are having another battle with gastro apparently, they may step out like they did in china. I hope those mugs don't play the Crows back into form.

Something tells me this Midfield group of Bont, Macrae, Dunks, Hunter and Libba have put there heads together this week and decided “hey we’re all fit and firing, we’ve climbed the hill before, let’s give this young talent every chance we can a get this done”

Dogs to win the next 8

Jesus I forget how good our midfield is sometimes. I'm aroused.
