Yep, especially seeing as he'll be the only indigenous player on the field if he gets up. The irony that he was the only one in the team circle at the end of last week's game without the top showing.

I thought watching them last week that it was a great shame to only wear it once a season. Very happy for the team to wear it again this week for the home crowd. And very happy if they want to wear it again for Wellsy when he returns.

Anyway, mine arrived this evening. Not disappointed at all, it is fantastic - can't wait to give it a first outing on Sunday.

May I ask why we need an indigenous round and jumper?

I am all for equality regardless of colour, race, sexuality etc. We are all Australians, all equal, and love the game of AFL.

Just seems so hypocritical to have a separate round and jumper for one purpose, and not bother with the others.

Think it's a load of rubbish to be honest, and i'd rather we wear our traditional North Melbourne strip this weekend.

If you are privileged, by being not indigenous, not a woman, not disabled, not gay, you don't see it. The rest of us need some special attention, just occasionally, to give us a taste of the level of respect and acceptance the privileged take for granted. From what you say, I doubt I can make you understand.

A gay pride round has been mooted for a couple of years actually, and something like this will definitely take place within the next couple of years.

I just don't like it being for one and not the rest. It is unnecessary and a marketing ploy, hence the ^^ response - AFL are smarter than most.
