I reckon the following guys should be all on our hit list to interview and present to the board

Harwick-Tough,successfull and has built that list with Clarko at the hawks

Hinkley-Could be the suprise packet here for the tigers and a gem in the making rated highly and has got alot to do with transforming the cats.

Viney-Another one like Hardwick or built the list from scratch at the hawks and rated highly and has gone on to lern from another master Craig at the crows

Longmire-Roos righthand man now and just about runs the gig there, but the defencive game he has lerned would worry me.

Bond-Has been unlucky in couple of jobs and is regarded as a very cluey peroson when it comes to afl and has worked at a number of clubs.

Richardson-Was our coburg manager and then went to a assistant role at the magpies before joining the bombers this season.

Peoples thoughts ???

add Buckley to the list tiger fans. if he is not excitied about coaching deledio, foley and a fully fit trent cotchin, etc. then he should not be coaching at all. he'll make the those boys into the players their suppose to be.

the team lack leadership. n it needs a leader. n theirs no better leader then buckley. he's always loved a challenge. we need a leader, not a follower. bucks is a leader, we get him, lid's, foley and cotchin wont be going anywhere

we hold all the cards right now. other clubs r to focused about their season. while we start pouncing on our pray. i like how the club has done this. where in the best position

Bucks struck me during the first part of his career as one of those blokes who LOOKS like a leader with this manerisms but in actual fact does not really inspire men.

He became a good leader under Malthouse but under Mathews and Shaw he really was the type of player that did not inspire his teammates.

What would be interesting would be if that gives him a better understanding of what a leader is than a natural leader.

Not a good enough reason for me Alb.
Why wouldn't we go with say a Damien Hardwick who has been around the coaching system and won't need to be learning on the job.
I'm not convinced on Buckley yet and refuse to get drawn in on someone simply because they were a great player and a good captain.

Hardwick is definitely our man, but can we get him immediately, or do we need an interim coach to see out remainder of season? If we do need an interim coach how about campbell then we will definitely win less than four games and get a priority pick.

Stick with somone in house. Campbell or King will continue to teach Terrys quick moving attacking game plan which was meant to work after this years cleanout . They also know everything about every player, so we'll see the best 22 run out every week. Campbell also has that passion for the yellow and black which may make for some fire in the rooms and King has that aggressive risk factor which he displayed on the footy field. Buckley can stick to commentary

Campbell, McRae and King to stay on as assistant coaches. Royal can go, Rawlings...we'll see how Coburg goes for the rest of the year. Has to be one of Hardwick, or Buckley, hopefully we can get Andy Collins back from SA to replace Royal.

king/rawling/royal - can go no chance
campbell - a chance not tarnished like wallaces yes men.
bucks - no experience
hardwick - overlooked by everyone so probably is too bigger gamble

only time will tell. interesting see how the players perform now that terrys not their anymore. when do you think a choice will be made. i think we need something different, new and fresh. which is exciting coz none of us know what to expect

No offence you have issues. We need someone that has had successful and is well known to do the hard things. Wayne Campbell and David King are not that. If we are to move forward we have to offload everyone in the coachs box come the end of this year. Hardwick is the guy for us, Premiership player at Essendon. Assistant coach at Port and Hawthorn for Premierships. Whats Campbell got? Us on Bigfooty have lost Respect and Trust in you and your comments.

Why do we continue to throw around the 'keep it in house' line?

Campbell is untried, i haven't heard much great things about his coaching abilities at all yet, so someone please surprise me. He is riddled with our woeful culture that has crippled this club for years - why would keep turning over the same old culture when it is this that is in fact ruining the clubs stature? I wouldn't even consider Campbell and would puke if King even asked for an interview!

We need to be smart. Listen to what the experts say, not the entire football population can be wrong. Damien Hardwick will be one of the most sort after young coaches if Richmond sit back and mull over old or young, in house or external, blah blah..... Net minute he's signed with North Melbourne and we've AGAIN missed the boat. Hardwick must surely be the favourite to coach 'An' AFL Team next year. Our board would certainly be aware of this and need to act promptly with talks and discussions now.

But I honestly cringe when we bring up the 'romantic' concept of having an in house coach. Please, we want someone with credentials, not a selfish prick who thought about himself before the bloody club in the first place.

Tigers, act now before we miss out on the prize pick of coaches! GET HARDWICK! :thumbsu:

Coaches with Credentials to possibly coach in 2010:
Hardwick
Malthouse
Williams
Longmire
Viney
Hinkley
Matthews

To Be Coaches without Credentials:
Campbell
Buckley
Hird
McRae
King

campbell may have a passion for the club, but answer this one. bomber thompson doesnt bleed geelong, knights doesnt bleed essendon, clarko doesnt bleed hawthorn, lyon doesn bleed saints. but now all of sudden they are embracing their clubs and feel part of it now. the only person who bleeds their club atm is brett ratten and vossy, roos too even though he's been at the lions, now swans.

hardwick is overrated, if they got the cattle then of course he will look like a million dollars at port and hawks, but the tigers lack skills and dont have the cattle.

hardwick seems too much like wallace and he would be wanting 5 year plan and rebuilding liek he did when going for the bomber's job. the tigers big mistake was to give wallace 5 year plan, so his emphasise was not on coaching thinking there skills would automatically happen.

Untried

Buckley or Hird no preference think they can both get the best out of our players are modern thinkers, both were great captains, were great players, have done well in the media and make sense when talking footy

With some coaching experience, Hinkley

Wouldn't look at any of the others

Interim coach - Jade Rawlings

Not a snowflakes chance in hell he will get five years anywhere.

We have most of the cattle, we just need the right coach with an executable game to give to the cattle.

If Hardwick or whoever needs 5 years for that then they are the wrong blokes for the job.

you are not making sense, how is hardwick like Wallace?

Pretty sure Hardwick played in Port's premiership and then became assistant.
