"I'm sorry this is a closed training session. Oh Bryce......".

I don't subscribe to the theory that we have to hire a coach from Hawthorn (Clarkson protégée)

The mail I heard is that Dew has ruled himself out of the Carlton job because he thinks the hard, arduous task of rebuilding the club would have a detrimental effect on his long term coaching ambitions (wants to be a career senior coach)

Certainly you'd have to say the Crows coaching vacancy would be more appealing than ours, at this point in time.)

I reckon you just made that up.

I read it a few weeks ago actually from an article on the Age. And the fact its seemingly down to either Bolton or Lloyd for the job seems to suggest that probably is the case, considering how interested in Dew a few months ago.

I think it was written as it would be a consideration for him.

So it's hardly "mail" which implies some inside knowledge, which you don't have. Just the facts ma'am, just the facts.

He said on radio this week that Carlton had contacted the Swans and he'd certainly be interested in talking to us. He did mention that part of his application would be to assess if he was a good fit for Carlton and Carlton for him.

Yeah fair call that (about the mail line) but you'd have to think he was offered the Crows job and ours, he'd take the Adelaide gig.

I'll trust the clubs brainstrust to make the right appointment.

I think we should throw everything at Woosha even though he's a strong chance to stay with the crows.Ross lyon as well would be another although it may be hard to prize him away from Freo:).I always liked chocco I don't know what you guys think of him? I thought he was always quite keen to get back into the head coaching caper:)

Sorry - not sure if serious. Everyone of those idea's suck !! :)

Frankly I think any coach actually willing to coach us would be alright with me...

Either they'd have to be a masochist or have cohonies the size of rockmelons to take this club on...

On the plus they are taking over a side at absolute rock bottom so any new coach will have a decent honeymoon period and some early draft picks to work with.

It's amazing how positive things can seem once the season finishes and everyone looking towards next year.

Please, no more crusty old campaigners. Get a young vibrant bloke in who is prepared to stay the course.

After last night's inglorious effort and another one around the corner in round 23, you'd have to think that Bolton would be the favourite now?
It's very unlikely that Barker will get the job now (captain obvious! lol), so I think that Carlton would be pretty keen to get someone fresh out of the Hawks environment.
Barker may be from the Hawks system but Bolton has had a more senior and more recent involvement.

Anybody seriously believing that we are limited to/are only considering/Bolton or Lloyd are the frontrunners, is just making shit up.
