Hinkley, he's gotten us close before and looks like he's fixed the problems we've been having all year, work on our goal kicking and we will should be a force to be reckoned with:thumbsu:

When exactly did he fix all our problems? Was it in the final we lost to an average West Coast while still struggling with our season lomg problems?

At the moment I just want to forget about another wasted year.
Apart from that what I would like to see is no panic and no extended coaching contracts.

First thing I'd do is demote Lobbe to the rookie list. Bad enough we've got to pay him his contract - it sends entirely the wrong message to the playing list that he's allowed to swan around on the senior list playing for the Magpies with no chance of being promoted. Renouf that soulless hack.

Second thing would be to hold a press conference and tell everyone in no uncertain terms that our gamestyle is based around turning the ball over as quickly as possible, because that's how most scoring is done these days. And we are going to select sides that we feel have the best chance of doing that, with height being a secondary but desired trait in every player we play and recruit.

Third - play Dixon and Frampton as a tandem in the forward line, with Robbie Gray deep forward. Marshall to keep developing and get games in lieu of Westhoff against easier opponents.

Fourth - Howard/Jonas/Clurey/Byrne-Jones/Bonner/Pittard/Houston to be our defensive group. Hartlett to come in off the bench and rotate through defence/midfield/forward as needed.

Fifth - Ebert to take over from Sam Gray in the high forward role. Boak to remain in the other position.

Sixth - Rockliff to take over from Ebert, giving us Wines/Rockliff/Powell-Pepper as our first rotation.

Actually...**** all that, I'd just delegate it all to Ken cause that's exactly what he's doing...minus ****ing off Lobbe to the rookie list.

Hang on....

2nd thing, link plz
3rd thing, Frampton hasn't played a single game yet and r Gray is playing deep forward due to having no groins- something you've previously admitted
4th except when Hombsch played shitloads, Broadbent played 5 times as many games as Bonner this year pre injury
5th, what? Ebert was one of our main midfielders this year
6, so now Ebert is in the middle or half forward?

Pass the bong will ya

I'm saying what I'd do going forward.

"That's exactly what he's doing"

Well I didn't think I needed to explain that part cause we don't actually have Rockliff at the moment, do we?

Kern. Not sure why but Kern
Me too. He is building.

He has been slow to change but I feel like he is slowly getting it and he is doing a good job of bringing the youngsters through who have only been in his system.

I feel like when he has a cherry ripe Frampton, Howard and Marshall we might finally see what Ken has in mind.

I'm just curious as to why people are so sure it was Ken who made the selections post Showdown.

He seems very stubborn and keen to back in his preferred players and gameplan. Who is to say it wasn't a directive to him to make those changes,

Because Ken is the coach. And if it was a directive, K n would most likely not be with the club anymore.

Yep, I thought it was a bit strange two weeks out to bring in Marshall and Bonner, when we have been calling for this mid season. I think he was leaned on a little.

So by that logic i can completely blame him for failing to select appropriate players all year until it was too late then?
Fabulous.
Hey Ken please don't wait until the season is over next year to select at least one more tall forward. I'm sick of your chaotic forward entries. Cheers.

Well you have been anyway, so why change now? :)

Hell, we could win the flag next and you logic would be that he finally listened to you.

Hey if we win the flag next year i am happy to have you post "YOU WERE WRONG DICKHEAD" everyday. But i'm just not convinced it will happen with Ken at the helm. Happy to be wrong though.

I initially took this literally and my first thought was we already turn over the ball as quickly as possible, shouldn't we be trying to do the opposite??

Yes this was alluded to by someone i heard on the radio. Can't remember who though.
