Would any of the future coaches that maybe in line for the job have access to Dunstall and Co to gain feed back of their findings,it may change their minds,Eg Burns not making himself available?

No chance, the contract for the 4 doing the review would have legal ramifications if they spoke about anything

I think you will find Adelaide probably weren’t that keen on him so he has leaked that “He” turned the offer down so it doesn’t look like he has been denied another senior coaching job

The amount of groupthink on here regarding potential coaches is pretty absurd.

Nicks being at Port for quite a while in an assistant role when they weren’t that great doesn’t mean a whole lot.

Yze working under Clarkson also doesn’t mean a whole lot.

End of the day, a senior coaching role is a completely different kettle of fish, and some thrive almost immediately (best recent example of this is Fagan) and some completely fail (best recent example is Bolton).

Note: Fagan and Bolton both came from the Clarkson coaching factory. It means virtually nothing.

None of us are in a position to have enough info to know if the correct choice is Yze, Nicks or someone else. Maybe if Yze was in charge at Hawthorn for the last 2 years they would be bottom 4? Maybe if Nicks was in charge at Port instead of Ken, Port would be a juggernaut? Maybe they’re both amazing future head coaches? Maybe they’re both awful?

I think we need a coach who doesn’t instruct players to move the ball slowly, who empowers players to back themselves in to take the game on, who has a team of assistants around him that he actually trusts and who have the ability to adapt to various scenarios that unfold on game day, and who can inspire and rebuild trust in a playing group who are in desperate need of inspiration.

I want a coach who gives us a hard edge, who believes in tagging the best opposition mid out of the game, who connects with players and builds close relationships with the playing group, and has the players playing FOR him, every week, without fail.

Is that Yze? Is that Nicks? How the hell would we know? Let em pick someone, and we’ll back them in and no doubt commence judging their performance in early 2020.

Next year isn’t about winning the flag (we have virtually zero hope of even making the finals with the way our list will look by November), it’s about rebuilding a broken club and creating an environment that players actually want to be around.

Fagan managed to achieve this recently at Brisbane when all looked lost, and now they look set to challenge for a premiership from 2020-2023. That’s the blueprint.

Is it just me, or is anyone else getting a bit pi**ed off with Scott Burns?

Can we just fu** this guy off for any future coaching position at the Crows? This prima donna obviously thinks he's too good for a coaching gig at the AFC. I really can't be f’ed entertaining this guy as a coaching prospect again, now, or any time in the future ever.
No, I’m sure he’ll be in the mix for us again in 2-4 years.

I find it rather amusing that a forum can cause so much hysteria born from media outlets & people with tin foil hats that fulfil a need for significance by trying to create a conspiracy prediction.

As soon as the media drop something into the air there is a flood of people that are suddenly in the know. Truth is: There is nobody on this forum that has a friend of a friend that knows critical information on the club’s direction.

The club strategically leak’s information, media outlets know the avenues of these leaks and will take to social media first (mainly twitter) and let the snowball rolling. There are paid employees that work all year on media advisory & strategy (The AFC have some of the best in the business currently).

I believe Adam Yze met with Fagan & the panel before the grand final, Yesterday was not an interview this was reported wrong. I’m not saying Yze has the job as I have not claimed this as a fact, but I recommend backtracking through my post’s in this thread until the 24th September & follow the bouncing ball.

Maybe I’m just lucky & may get my wish as I mentioned Adam Yze as my preferred candidate at 8:30am and suddenly at 10:30am he appeared like a rabbit out of a hat. Maybe there is still some of the terms and conditional things to work through?

It pays to read cryptic posts, they offer more than feeding the conspiracy predictive poster's :straining:

Didn’t you start off by saying no one in this forum knows anything and then sprout to know stuff?

Yze was a person with freakish talent that did manage to get the best out of himself despite injuries.

I'm hoping he can bring an element of risk to our play as he someone who appreciates what class and talent coupled with hard work can do.

I hope he really connects with someone like Milera and brings the best out of him.

The non-disclosure would get them into a lot of trouble if they gave details, but say you are a close friend of Dunstall and you asked him if he thought you should take the job and he said no, you'd probably not need the details. I don't think that is what has happened though, I think coaches are saying they are pulling out of the race because they know they won't get the job.

A thematic statement is different than a statement to cite a source , maybe I'm one of the people wearing a tin foil hat? what does it matter as the difference is I'm merely posting on an open forum by being noncommittal so interpretation can be delivered however the reader chooses. People who Cite a source are seeking attention by claiming they are of significant importance to holding a so called "treasured fact".
