Why would list spots be an issue

Can't we literally offload Sullivan, Long, Bytel, Reef and Kreuger without contractual issues?

Only 2 on the senior list.
Also, you gotta factor in + 3 for the draft.
Would have to delist and rookie some from the senior-rookie list

Not to mention Hayes/Tomlinson would go on the senior list, if DFA
So would the draftees.

I'm missing something? Didn't they sell for the price they're now supposedly offering? So the net result won't be an extra 2nd round pick, it'll simply be 1 pick higher for this year's first rounder.

They started this trade period with 14, HAW F1, 33 and a HAW F2.

If they did the trade with GC for 13 prior to any dealing with Carlton they'd be left with 1 2nd round selection only.

I suspect no deal with Carlton would then have taken place. Regardless GC aren't shifting 13 early in the trade period for the Hawthorn offer. More importantly it didn't happen.

So they now have HAW F1, CAR F1, 33, HAW F2, CAR F2.

If by some miracle they trade now for 13 with a F1 and 2nd they'll be one 2nd round pick better off than they otherwise would have been.

In reality it should be all moot as GC didn't trade pick 13 to them then and I doubt they do it now.

The 500K for Robertson is probably cap breaking for us if we get Houston as well.

Im nowhere near perfect Dave, and I understand why your anxiety takes over, it happens to my son too.

I’m just giving you some solid advice. Jumping to the worst case scenario (which you’ve been doing for most of the week) helps nothing. Difficult trades end up being made far more often than them falling through. The odds are favourable for us so stop stressing.

You don't have to single him out, though. Most of us here are anxious and extremely frustrated. Lol.

These late pick deals can happen fast. Could even be that Lions take him in a direct swap for Dev, only having interest because Dev asked out.

if you really think about it, I can't see any club where he gets a regular game. He's one of those types who'll never command a regular spot. However, if we can get him dirt cheap, he's an upgrade on fin
