The body language during the game and 3/4 time was concerning. Players walked very slowly to huddle, were yelling at each other at times. Something definitely not right. Players appear tired and probably fed up with our inept coach.

I know there are way bigger issues, but Smith has got to improve his kicking. I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say he’s the worst disposer of the ball in the comp.

He’s talented, marketable, played very well in finals last year and has significant upside. But if he has ball in hand and is dropping it near his foot it’s likely to end up in the opposition’s hands soon after, so he’s regularly going to be a net negative until that improves.

He’s young, there has been extra-curricular nonsense this year etc so it’s not a massive concern. But it needs to get better next year imo.

Would love for us to give away a few more free kicks from tackling hard and pinning the ball in rather than this weak s**t that allows an easy handball out the front. Take some heads if you have to, at least it slows the ball movement.

But Luke Darcy as our football expert on the board is way too chummy and one eyed about Bevo to have a proper healthy working relationship. This is not good governance which allows personalities to ride over correct protocol and procedures. Bevo needs strong assistant coaches who challenge him.
Collingwood, with a new voice as head coach and at least two very good assistants (Bolton and Leppa) are showing they are playing for their coaches.

Adz and Cordy were having a laugh together walking to man up at the start of the last quarter. Team knows it’s winning anything this year and is just going through the motions now.

We don’t kick it to the advantage of a teammate let alone to a teammate.

Foot skills need to be worked on.

I stupidly, actually thought that when we bring that heat out in the second half we will smash these campaigners.
There was one group of useless campaigners and it wasn't Freo. It was our rabble.
I need to cool down otherwise I will unload on here and regret it.

It is a couple of years ago now, where Cordy managed negative 13 ranking points, the only time I have ever seen a minus score, haven't bothered to look at rankings today, but he is the worst player in Senior Football, how can they play him again. Josh Scache was a number 2 draft pick and he can't get a game ahead of Cordy, you have to be kidding Coach.

That is a really stupid argument on so many fronts.

Despite the season being cooked, we still have the personnel of a team which should be right up there next season, which obviously makes this year all the more frustrating.

If we can sort out our tall defenders our best 22 will be close to as good as any in the comp. And something in our coaching setup needs an overhaul, clearly.

Is Bevo being paid too much? Did the board pay him too much and leave not much to get quality? Why are we the only club I can think of that has never had a former coach as an assistant?

Would be better if we started handballing forward not back all the time. We always turn away from the goals which allows our opponents to press up. Part of the reason we also get scored against on turnover.
