Stoked that both Berry and Cutler have re-signed but particularly Cutler. Such a relief that he is here to stay. Given time, I think he'll be a gun.

Good that we got Berry locked away early. He's the first non-academy 1st round draftee to re-sign since Mayes.

Aside from Mayes, if we don't count Paps and Karnezis who were mid 20s in the compromised drafts, you would have to go back all the way to Rich in 2008 I believe?

I am, however, most excited about Cutler. I don't know why but I was starting to get worried we might lose him. Considering we drafted the likes of Taylor, Gardiner and Cutler off the back of losing the go home 5 it was imperative that we retained them and we've been able to do so Hopefully McStay and Robertson follow suit.

If we can retain Rockliff, McStay, Schache, Keays and Robertson plus maybe get 1 or more of McCluggage, Cox and Witherden to re-sign this year as an added bonus I'll start to feel quite good about our future. We have some talent on our list, we simply have to retain it and build and develop this group together whilst continuing to add talent.

Yeah I'm not worried about Robbo at all. I also feel more confident on McStay now that his good mate Cutler has re-signed. I feel like McStay and Cutler will become really handy players once we get 50 games into them.

I'm going to take credit for that one. Yelled something positive at him at Gabba central the other week. He said "I'm actually Marco Paparone" which was a strange thing for him to say but he did re-sign so it all ended well.
