Few problems with that. Cameron is unhappy. Not specifically with the Crows, but with life in Adelaide. We tell him we want to rip off his club, leave him unhappy for a year, tell him he's not worth a reasonable pick, and hope he'll still want to join us next year...

Doesn’t add up to pick 19 this years draft was off rookie list pick 7 in 2013, we are throwing too much at Crows to get him. He is more like 28, he would be like 19th on Adelaide’s player list does that add up to value?
I want him but he isn’t close to a Stringer who will be around a similar draft pick the way you are thinking.
Yes he is unhappy and has a brother coming through but what I am saying is don’t just give in to demands we have to wait back a bit until after Lever Trade goes through and see what it all looks like. I would want a pick 30-40 back for Cameron from the potential 19.

Rockcliff is at the pub again today. He said definitely going. No surprises there.

In other good news Claye Beams is getting married today.

So did you ask if the offer was enough to net us pick 2?

Lions will trade 18 to GWS for 23 and 25, and use 23 for Cameron and 25 for Ballendon. Easy done. Adelaide may play hard ball but that will be the result. Lions still will have 1, 12 and 19.

Is that actual knowledge? You sound very confident.

Apologies for the intrusion if it is unwelcome.
I think it is both reasons - you are getting an A-grade list together, I just think that when in peaks in 3-4 years, Tom may no longer be best 22 and would miss out on that opportunity for success.
He may have the chance to have an immediate impact with a mature squad and he might be able to achieve some team success that he hasn’t already.
All big ‘ifs’, but worth a shot?

Also, Adelaide is cheap compared to the East Coast and more money plus lower expenses could help a young family?

Good luck with your compo pick - I hope you get a cracker to continue your list development
Our kids probably don't peak for another 7 or 8 years.

They'll only just be entering thier prime in 3 or 4 years.

Dodongo thinks you are all dreaming if you think Bellanden won't get bid on before pick 18/19. Dodongo thinks it's obvious that Richmond will bid on him like they have everyone else of our academy talls.
I've been saying this for months Dodongo, you have just confirmed it officially. Take it to the bank.

Nothing surer!

Ballenden did interview with Richmond at the combine. Reportedly lasted less than 3 minutes.

That included the walk in and back out.

"Hi Conor, would you like to live in Melbourne?"

"To be honest, not really. Maroon, Blue and gold runs through my blood"

"Oh...nevermind"

I don’t like the fact that Rockliff has moved on from both sides.

What pisses me off about Rockliff the most was that he was remunerated way above what he should have been given we had to expend our salary cap, yet when he is offered a salary commensurate with where he is at currently, balanced against being heavily remunerated in the past, he is still greedy enough that he can’t repay what the club previously invested in him.

No loyalty whatsoever from Rockliff and I regret the club not having got rid of him earlier given it was all about money for the greedy Rockliff.
It's not Rocky's fault he was paid so highly previously - that's entirely the clubs fault. Rocky was the benefactor andyou can't begrudge him that. It's not like we lost any players or there were players we couldn't bring in because of his salary, and arguably he's been more entitled to the higher pay packet than many others when you consider we have to pay 95% of the cap.
To call him greedy for leaving now because another club values him more highly than we do is immature. That's a reality in the business world.

Personally I think he's well within his rights to move. No doubt he and the club have been through hell and back over the past year's. I hope he moves onto Port (though I wish it was almost any other club, well except collingwood or ease don't!) and maintains fitness and refinds his AA form. He's given enough to the lions and owes us nothing.
