I haven't written you guys off yet, just making an observation from your performances the last couple of weeks. If you beat Bright and Whorouly and stop winning games by a few points you should be fine. I would love to see you prove me wrong.

One meeting yesterday and another this morning.

A presidents meeting has been called for this Monday night to discuss the BDFL situation, apparently the VCFL has made an unofficial decision. No more BDFL after 2009.

He is the type of bloke who would be great in a good side with no bloke playing on him and be terrible under the pressure of a decent opponent!

it is fact that idealy the O&K want at least 2clubs into there league but are open to the idea of three. obviously the b&D clubs will all be in the same position come the end of the year when the league is finished, which is also fact. proposals from 4/5 B&D clubs will be looked at by the O&K. with longwood trying for the KDFLlooking at alot of threads.. perhaps leave the guess work out of it slim until you know for sure whats goin on. too many wannabe know it alls gettin around i think. Just a little message i found in the b and d forum very interesting what you say freshy.

have heard that a few clubs in that league struggle to field sides in each grade week in week out, not sure if o and k need more clubs forfeiting reserves matches coz of lack of numbers or having players that wont bother to travel?

on a different note gents, does anyone have more details on the King Valley 3rds player who got suspended for 5 weeks against Whorouly for striking. No report, no send off, player didnt require medical treatment and umpire didnt see the incident.

I watched your game Saturday Virge, and you r spot on! There seemed like no respect at all. Looked as though your boys thought it was just going to happen.
Was quite a few "sending offs" that from what I've heard were petty stupid events???
Not that it was going to influence the result, but one of the umpires on Saturday was shocking to say the least. I am not being biased either way, he was terrible in general. Do you agree Virge?

One missed free kick when a bloke was clearly taken high in a marking contest that resulted in a goal at a crucial time was a stand out but over all they were just pretty average both ways as i said you come to expect it . The ground was in fantastic condition. Obviously a bit slippery with the overnight rain but the reserves' quarter time scores 5 goals to 3, were more than the seniors full time scores. Was a great contest to watch in the seniors. Bright won plenty of the contested ball, but lacked kicking skill. Greta didnt get much of the ball, but hit the targets on a regular basis. The real worry is Greta's forward line. The defence is holding up game in, game out but needs the forwards to kick a winning score. 4 goals in two games will never get you into the finals. Too reliant on Cavicchiolo? Going to be very difficult to make finals with such a terrible percentage.
