Played 13 games for Melbourne in the AFL, slim - But that was way back in 1997. He's big unit, think he is a touch under the 200cm mark. He'd be around 33 now though so not sure if he has much in him.

Probably still have a footy brain though BK and if he's a big unit then he will only need a few footy smarts to make a diff

Scores were pretty low across the board, BK - RB how were the games, scrappy or was it the conditions

Very windy at Glenrowan slim. Wouldn't have been a very entertaining game to watch as both sides found it hard to kick into the wind, resulting in numerous turnovers. The ground was very choppy and it looked like the grass hasn't been cut for weeks which also didn't help. Full credit to Glenrowan though, they applied pressure for most of the match - especially in the last half.

I reckon Whorouly will start to push from here on in....Must have been nearly back to full strength Sat [ JB ?]. Left the Blacks standing for most of the 2nd half. Tilson was good, strong leads and marks. On ballers streaming into the forward line was good , made it very hard work for the Blacks backmen having blokes every where.

Getting there Slim still a few good ones missing but break came at perfect time. Lost another key position on Sat with Rob Hill doing an ankle but should only be a couple of weeks.

Might push but have to get passed 2 other sides ahead of them on the ladder Slim. Glenrowan won't drop off easily & going by what I heard against Tarra they played really well & Bright won't be easy to get passed either...will be tough to get into the 5!

On another topic, anyone heard rumour going around about Liam Harrington joining certain O&K club?

Who is he and where is he going guys

He played at Wang a few years back slim, then I think he had a stint in Melb and is now back at Wang. He used to go alright but he didn't do much in the couple of games I saw him play this year. Would be a decent O&K player. Think he is the brother of Robbie Harrington from Whorouly. Rumours are he is heading to Milawa.

I reckon you blokes could have your work cut out this week mate. Milawa appear to be tracking ok. How's your injury list

Yeah it should be a good match slim. We have a few injuries, Andrew James is probably the big one at the moment, he got injured in the inter-league match and will probably be out for a few. Nick Norris has broken his collarbone and young Matty Oxenham broke his leg a few weeks back - both of these boys had stepped up from the twos this year and were playing good footy. Other than that, we have a few senior players that will probably have a test before Sunday. Jaden Allen is also overseas at the moment which doesn't help.

his gone to Whorouly but he is contracted to wang and that will be a problem....$$$

It amases me that clubs go out on this last minute push to get a player/s to help them for 2nd half of the year. At best some of them may move a couple of places up the ladder but not win the flag. What is also hard to work out is when they spend money to get the player/s. Spending money for 1/2 a season when you know you aren't going to win the flag is just stupid. Wouldn't you save it for next year and use it a bit more wisely.:confused::confused:

I heard he was going to Milawa but then heard that it might not be until next year. I wondered why he wouldn't go to Whorouly if his brother was there because that would make more sense. Maybe the person I heard the story from has got the clubs mixed up. Agree with what you're saying slim. Edit: Whorouly it is, according to the clearances on the O&K website.

Couldnt agree more Slim , we would all like to top up with a couple at the death knock but to be offering o&m reserves players huge money for the sake of 10 games is just pure desperation and as you say very doubtful that its going to get you a flag with a club that is so dominate at the moment. It just gives you more incentive to go out and beat them and is so much more sweeter if you do, i think.

As a Whorouly person i would be disappointed if the club just sat back and let a past player from the club who has obvious talent go to a rival club. Given the quality of players we have lost through injury or departures i would like to think that the club and coaching staff would leave no stone unturned in their endeavours to field the best side they possibly could in the second half of the year.I would also like to think that nobody at our club considers the premiership out of reach. From what i know Liam was keen to play with Rob before he went away and turned down obsurd money from Milawa and Glenrowan to do so.

Glenrowan never offered Liam any money he came to us and said that he was not happy at wang and was thinking of leaving we told him to give wang another game and if he still wanted to go,then come back to us,the next week he came back and said he was going to leave wang.he told us that he had offers of $400 a game from another club and he said, he was talking to Whorouly and if they would match it he would go there..we told him that he had the problem of the contract with wang and going on past form he would not get cleared,so there was no piont offering any money to him.so if he has or has not got that sort of dollars from Whorouly good luck to him but dont go naming clubs if you dont know the FULL story, and it would'nt be the first time a player has played a club agianst another club:rolleyes::rolleyes:....
