Don’t worry about Corowa Peter German had 3 VFLplayers he could have brought before clearances closed and the Committee put a stop to it.

They deserve to be where they are
Isn't their policy build from locals, why buy more players in ? The whole point of the points system is to promote your locals

Theyre in all sorts. this might be minor thing, but there have been two instances in recent days where “sons of guns” heading to or trying out for vfl teams have nominated clubs other than CR as aligned clubs. that smacks of big trouble right there.
Bit harsh here. The young fellas are living in Melbourne/Geelong, most likely trying to make new friends at Uni. Big commitment to travel back and fourth. Im sure they'll be back if it doesn't work out for them. IF the roos could get all their juniors back in the next few years they would be right up there.

Corowa-Rutherglen has appointed Steve Owen as coach for the next two years.
The announcement finally ends the search for Peter German's replacement which has dragged on for months and created plenty of uncertainty at John Foord Oval over the off-season.
Owen arrives at the club after spending the past two years as coach of Rutherglen and played 13-matches this season.
The 35-year-old also has previous coaching experience with Queenscliff.
He played in a hat-trick of flags for the Bellarine Football League club, including two as playing coach.
"We are super excited to announce that Steve has been appointed senior coach for the next two years," the club said in a statement.
"Steve is a passionate football man and comes to the club with a wealth of experience.
"A great communicator with a passion to pass on his knowledge to our young group."

Owen boasts an impressive record as a player and was drafted by Geelong at the end of 2005 from the North Ballarat Rebels.
He was plagued by injury during his two-year tenure at the Cattery which robbed him of the chance of playing at the elite level.
After being delisted by Geelong, Owen joined VFL outfit North Ballarat but his injury curse continued after suffering a torn ACL.

Really good appointment by the club. A good coach and an even better person. Many challenges for him to face but pleasing to see Steve get an opportunity. Did a great job at Queenscliff and has the ability to make sides competitive that have been long under performing. Certainly has a mountain to climb but he has the ability to conquer it although its going to take some time.
