Paddy Ryder - Sheedy was right

You were the one who got excited about the ter scores /B]and boasted about 'winning the bun fight'. Sad that you have anything to do with humans at all, because clearly you have no idea!

Yeah whatever fella.

Maybe the 'grow up' jibe would best left with you?
You were the one chiming in when it had nothing to do with you.

ps - hope I never need to 'deal' with you in my profession. Surely there are better uses for anesthesia?

Oh?
Ha...Law and 'Law' grads always have that attitude. That'd be you right?
Your TER...My TER? Pffft.
So its more about you than me then isn't it? Obviously you do 'feel' superior, otherwise why raise it?
FWIW, my 'discipline' has nothing to do with human behaviour, I leave that to $cumbags like you to 'judge'.

Whilst I mend society you disease it.

You bellend, YOU were the one who used your TER score to try and out-point someone else, and to make yourself seem the intillectual superior. And it's mose likely he's a psychology student, neuro-science, or something of the like.

Typical keyboard-warrior. Get over yourself

Sydney 99.85 Melb 99.85 Not good enough pal! :D :D

99.85?? I find that hard to believe pal, considering that in any given year in Victoria on average ever .05 percentage point on your TER has about 20 students.

Highest possible score 99.95 - 99.85 = .15... So basically 60 students in Victoria on average can only potentially obtain the TER, not even considering that not all of them want to do Med Sci + international students et al

How many places are there offered to VCE students each year?

Yes sorry about that, 'whirl'.

Just got drawn in to a little bun fight, which I had to win :D .

For the record, to me, Ryder looks good but has some lessons to be learned.

On sheer brilliance, I think Franklin is better. That said, it wouldn't surprise me to see Ryder touch him up, in a direct match up, given the natural defensive flair that Paddy has, and the lack of 'defensive accountability' that lance seems to possess.

Watched a Hawthorn game this year?

Memo to self: Never fall ill in Adelaide

Better option: Never go to Adelaide

Just under 50000 sat vce in 2006, not all got a score. but when 6 students from my modest former suburban HS achieved that score or higher, I'm not sure where your maths is coming from!

I was just lazily reading through this thread ignoring the temptation to say anything about Franklin/Ryder comparisons but then this one smacking of ignorance and someone 'stuck back in 2005' got me going.

Franklin has taken his football to another level in the past 12mths. He is no longer suspect with poor defensive pressure, poor second efforts and lack of chasing. If you watched any of the Hawks games since the middle of last season you wouldn't genuinely make the comment about his lack of defensive accountability. It is plainly WRONG and you clearly havent been watching him play which is your loss cos you've missed some awesome football. His running down and tackling has been A1 - Davey style.

Ryder on the other hand has shown some good reading of the ball through the air and has shown he can take a grab which is rare in the game these days. However, he has also shown lack of poise quite a bit once he has the pill, turns it over a bit and looks to shite himself sometimes.

On the topic of them playing on each other - they did in the preseason and Buddy was all over him. Bigger, faster and more agile.

The thing about poise and turnover is totally incorrect. He has immaculate disposal and poise. He is one of the best kicks at the club and his efficiency rate is :thumbsu:.

He looks laconic and probably doesn't commit himself as much as he should but he's got a young body and that will get better with time.

Im shocked! I thought you would rate Paddy over Buddy.

Hasn't had one clanger this season.
You knew that though.

Kepler is the complete opposite to Ryder. I've given up on him after todays dismal effort.

You can't give up on a player after one performance! Keppler Bradley has been crap in every game!!! hahahaha

Sheedy is kidding himself, you can't be a successful club with players like Bradley in the side, simple!

Totally NOT incorrect. Dont be so blinkered. He has improved no doubt and will further no doubt but he has shown signs of lack of poise. He took a speccy against Saints, went back and turned it over - lack of poise. What most Dons fans will read into this is that it is a go at him - its not. Lack of poise is normal for young players. This thread needed a dose of reality.

Thats far to easy to go the 'your a Hawk fan' avenue. You let yourself down with that one. I didnt rate anyone. This thread was about Ryder. someone made it about Ryder V Buddy. Someone then commented that Ryder may towel Buddy up. I pointed out that they played on each other only 6-7 weeks ago. It was obvious at the game that one was bigger, faster and more agile. Nothing to do with rating. Hope there weren't too many words in my reply for you.

Dont know where you get yer clanger stats bud. I dont keep tabs on the stats but I do watch a lot of football. Dont have to go any further than Anzac Day to prove you wrong however. He had a horrendous clanger in the centre of the ground running forward. Lost possession of the ball without even being tackled and turned it over. Seen many others do the same (including many Hawks dont worry). Wasn't the worst play on the day either but you made the statement about no clangers....

What the stats don't show you is that Paddy's kicks bounce 4 times, going thru peoples legs ect. yet as long as they end up with an Essendon player, the stats man puts down "yep, he hit his target".

Another point, its always easier being a defender rather than a forward making the play.

Both Franklin and Ryder will be great players - just at different ends of the ground.
