Keeeerist, look at those welts!

Please tell me you at least wore one or twelve of these?

I saw Pharro being interviewed on Sports Tonight, came across as very professional and that he certainly enjoyed being involved as well.

Werribee and North Ballarat fixtures have been released for next year, so stay tuned.

I will post something up soon and get some VFL discussion going.

I can confirm that Wally.........for the first game. Once the carnage was unleashed upon us we wore THREE each in all subsequent games!

That pic posted by pharro gives me flashbacks of my first peek into the mirror post the event. We'll be sporting the scars of battle for awhile, and I for one couldn't be prouder

It was especially good seeing the young blokes get amongst it. Expect the tough in and under Ryan Bastinac to hang back and snipe people, if today's anything to go by. He's a smart boy is Ryan!

As TOD alluded to, the first pain which had me wake up quick smart was when I too was shot in the right finger, drawing blood. As I shook that one out I was shot in the left fingers. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.....................................................K!

We were told prior that if we were shot, we were to raise our guns with one hand, and hold up the other hand whilst returning to the back of the battle zone to start again. THAT was the most dangerous time, as it turned out, as the oppo machine gunned you as you retreated with arms aloft! The welts are bloody sore tonight!

Sticks Mckonkey seemed to delight in causing pain and thumping's eerie laughter whenever someone winced tells me he's someone the law should have their eyes on.

TOD and I both enjoyed lining someone up from afar and picking them off, striking THEM in the hand/fingers and seeing THEM in pain! Payback's a bitch!!!!!!

Thanks to pharro for the event. It was a fantastic day of utter UTTER pain :thumbsu:

Car Keys Delaney is bloody mad! In the final part of the final game it was down to two left standing..............Car Keys and Pratty. They were to have a duel of sorts. Keys absolutely blasted Pratty from close range, and not with single shots...........with machine gun fire. Don't be surprised to see Pratty appear on the injury list as "Indefinite" due to the mental scarring alone, let alone the fact he had a welt the size of a bowling ball on his neck and six ribs shot out by Delaney!

Great chatting today No Bull and BoomerBrownlow_29, and a huge thanks to the players and BF teammates. I'm scarred for life you pricks!!!!!!!!!

Awesome day phazz :thumbsu:

Also...............

If you had any doubts re. the talk that Scott and Co. have the players on a full on strength building training regime, don't. They're much bigger than they've ever looked, going by today. The two MOST notable were Delaney, who is absolutely massive, and Pratty! Pratty's bloody huge now! I expect big things for him in 2010, with the past year being a distant memory. He gave a little thankyou speech at the end and is clearly one of the top leaders around the place.

As for "Car Keys" Delaney, I expect him to get a run next year. He's spent his injury layoff time very wisely adding bulk and muscle. He looks as fit as the proverbial Malley Bull. As with Taz, I expect them to give him time to be back to full match fitness and touch, but he does certainly appear a very exciting prospect.

Benny Warren's notably larger, as is Lachie. The WeetBix have done wonders!

What's the story with the nickname 'Car keys'?
I remember the lads called Ben Warren 'phone' for a while after he dropped it into the loo, is it something similar?

I can't recall the exact story but it was mentioned on here some time ago. I'm sure Heath or the poster who informed us awhile ago will remind us here (hopefully). It was a funny story if I remember rightly.

I missed the Sports Tonight story so I hope it becomes available via Heath or YouTube. There was a story on FOXSports News which I did see.

Do the North players "listed" with Werribee or NB last year remain with them, or will there be a brand new selection process for 2010?

The majority of them will again be aligned to the clubs they were last year, but for the new draftees and rookies they will be aligned accordingly.

I think we have a say in who we get at Werribee, basically we look at which particular positions we might need a player and also North look at our list to see where the news players might fit in.

Daniel Pratt came off worse for wear from yesterday's paintball session.

Ben Speight was perhaps the unluckiest soldier on the day after a paintball struck his forearm and drew blood.

“It didn’t tickle,” North’s rookie told kangaroos.com.au.

“I knew they were going to hurt but I didn’t expect it to be that bad.”

Cruize Garlett headed straight for the ice baths in an attempt to reduce the swelling of several welts which had formed on his back while Daniel Pratt was nursing a sore jaw due to a crack shot from an opposing player during yesterday’s battle.

“I also copped a few marks on my legs and one on my left side. It was great fun and all the boys really appreciated the offer to come and play,” Pratt said.

“Paul Harrington who purchased the paintball experience at the Gala Auction Night is a great supporter of this club and it was a memorable experience for all of us. Most importantly it was good to meet some other supporters and have some fun with them.”

Some evidence of the carnage in pics via the link below:

I'm covered in bruises today and have no idea how the players fronted up for training this morning. I could barely walk!!!!

Yes Twinkletoes, from what I hear, the players got off lightly. People I know who participated in this event are far more bruised and battered. Must be something to do with elite blood flow or tolerance to impact. Or the fact that no-one could shoot the likes of Matt Campbell and Cruise Garlett because they moved too fast.

Some of the most experienced and well respected Big Footy posters went head to head with 20 North players in a paintball battle in Port Melbourne today.

Cunnington, McIntosh, Pratt, Thompson, Speight, Thomas, Campbell, Garlett, Delaney, Grima, Chuck Norris, Hansen, Urquhart, McMahon, Meredith, Ben Warren and Warren Benjamin Vs posters like TheOtherDean, Twinkletoes and Pharro just to name a few.

There could be coverage on 9News (unlikely), 10News (more of a chance) and Fox Sports News (highly likely) tonight.

We will have a Rob Burton shot an edited video up on ROOTUBE as well as an extremely well written and constructed article on kangaroos.com.au by the end of the day.

Enjoy.

so 20 highly athletic, highly skilled, fit athletes Versus 20 fat, overweight, probably gay internet nerds...

bloodbath.

Matty and Cruise were impossible to hit. I heard pharro's walking like Gene Autrey today! Oh the pain.....................I had to be craned out of bed this morning, I was that sore. All in good fun though :thumbsu:

Yep, the players had no hope! It was like lambs to the slaughter and gee their guts were hanging over the trousers too. But, they can use computers!

Have they ever been seen in the same room together?

I believe I met both in the hall of mirrors.

Snrub is ok. Phaz is kinda toolish. Kept calling me Timberlake and trying to touch my hair.
