Tony de Zorzi finally gets the lemon and sarse, he was more overdue for a drop than Mitch Marsh.
Mulder replacing him at no.3,he isn't a no.3 but he is better than de Spudzi.
Yeah having been a whole 3 tests without a score of 177 or more he was definitely long overdue
That looks mighty close.
Who did he score the 177 no against, Zimbabwe or Bangladesh? He is a rolled gold spud.
Camera guys immediately focused on the job at hand.
Perving on the crowd.
Sign of the times that no Saffer batsman averages over 40. Bavuma averages 37 for his career but in fairness his average in the last 3-4 years is substantially higher. Mulder looks high batting at 3.
I'd just started following cricket then. England were at rock bottom and Fletcher had just taken charge. Some respectability was seen as essential. From memory, they were 4 down for 2 on day 1 of the series. Chris Adams, Gavin Hamilton and Darren Maddy all featured. Seem to remember watching in awe as a youngster seeing Gary Kirsten getting to 275.It was close to 25 years ago today where Cronje made what looked a bold declaration against England at 0/0 which England won.
I thought it was odd, no South African captain would open the door for an opposition victory. I smelt a rat and there was a HC rat.
Looks bad for Saim leaving on the cart but fingers crossed.
Pakistan need a breakthrough here to expose Mulder at 3.
Feel a bit for Bosch although surprised he was picked in the first place just looking at his FC numbers. Any SA domestic watchers on here?
It's interesting looking at the breakdown of his stats. He's played 28 tests in RSA and averages 43. He's only played 2 tests in every other nation barring the Caribbean. It’s a sin against cricket that Markram doesn’t.
People reckon Gill is an underachiever: has nothing on Markram IMO. Gill shows talent in terms of the beauty of the shots he plays etc.
Markram has played half a dozen sublime innings of the sort of quality that suggest he could be as good as Amla or ABDV if he fulfilled his talent. It will never happen though.
