Got a lot of depth to the squad; apparently he basically volunteered to open when de Zorzi was ruled out - yes Plugger35 hes injured - as a way of just staying in the side and has made the most of it.
Well this is some out of the blue innings from Rickleton. 7 tests averaging 22 with a HS of 42 and then pulls this. Should stay opening in tests at least.

Definitively a great FC cricketer, but it looked like he was going to be that type that just can't quite it take it to the top level.
Seems as though he can.

Pakistan has unsuccessfully challenged Dharmasena on two LBWs that looked identical.
Very rare to get a completely flawless innings, which this has been from Rickelton up to this point. I've watched every ball of his innings and he has not played and missed once.

I think South Africa might be batting for a declaration. Rickelton approaching 250 and Marco Jansen is swinging for the picketts.

Rickelton holds out for 259, too tired from scoring runs,
Had a bad run and got dropped.
The issue was that the hope came from potential, a series he hit a handful of 50s in. He produced basically nothing after that.
Probably a bit unfair on him.
Before this he was never really given a run and was just filling in when there was an injury etc. Most of the matches were also away and likely came after not getting much cricket.
Watched the Kayo mini just before the BGT starts. Another very uncharacteristic dismissal for Saud Shakeel. He seems to have got this idea he has to dominate the bowling from ball one. An otherwise promising test career could go to waste.

Two of the Pakistan wickets reeked of scoreboard if that makes sense - ‘the wicket is flat and SA made a million, if the ball is close to being full we have to throw the bat at it.’
He was over positive in the first test as well. From memory he hit 14 in 4 balls or something then got out.
Didn't realise Maphaka was a left armer. Very tall like Tsotsobe but quicker.
No wickets this morning but Jansen was bowling well around the wicket. He must be incredibly awkward to face.
