This is good. It means we might get a shitload of good picks next year. Personally I think the difference between those three and the rest of the drafting crop isn't that great. We are obviously in our premiership window, we can reload next year if required.
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Could begin to overthink this.

I want Hill. At this pick in a draft to be able to get a player that has a trait i personally rate very highly. He is clean and 1 touch. Same reason i love Venables despite low production, it enables so many opportunities on a field to develop.

The other players around have traits that can be found every year in the 20s

I wouldn't be trading our first for anything other than an absolute huge win, as in a first rounder next year plus some. If Hill was fully fit he would have gone top 15, take the slider and run.

Hope we don’t get caught up in the numerics of picks if we are thinking of trading.. if there’s someone at our pick we really rate just take him and be done with it. Like Carlton, their first pick is highly likely to be top 5 but they saw Stocker and took the opportunity, who knows what the next 12 months has in store but they know as of now they have 2 quality mids. Wouldn’t be trading any picks unless it’s heavily in our favour.

Doesn't look like we are keen on Hill. I'd say Freo's talks this morning with GWS were to get the pick upgrade to 28 from 34 to trump us getting him with our pick 29. Doesn't really affect GWS much downgrading that pick and trying to get an upgrade next year as they will have to bid on Briggs before pick 28.

Would a big bodied mid later in the draft be an option.
I do like the look of Fraser Turner.
What are everyone's thoughts on Kennerly. I kno wi'm basing it off the highlights video, but he looks way too good to be in in his draft range.
