Freddy simply doesn’t clunk marks. He is a classic butter fingers who seems to double and triple grab marks above his head. There is footage of him jumping on the marking bag and muffing a simple just this week and that is fairly typical.

Freddy will provide a better contest than Frampton. We won't be changing anything in our defence because it's the best in the comp. What do you want to do with Frampton? Would you like him to stand in the goalsquare and provide nothing? Would like to see him play on Daniher or the other dude who looks like a woman? We won't be going with Frampton, we don't need a backup ruck, we need someone to provide a contest and Freddy will be chosen if we go that way

Spot on, VP. Both were outstanding (apart from Sidey’s two 50m penalties).

WHE never failed to put his body on the line last night. Repeatedly went for the ball knowing he was about to get smashed. Hopefully ends all discussion about his courage. He reads the play really well and gets to so many contests to spoil opposition marking attempts. Clearly Best 22.

WHE just gets the job done. Mr Fixit. He’s our number one swingman to play wherever he’s needed. And he’s smart. Kicked the ball backwards to run the clock down after that mark. FYI brilliant of jaicos to beat two players to the ball, then evade them and perfectly spot up whe with a 50 metre pass…. That piece of play absolutely shut the game down because after 5-6 minutes of 50/50 stoppages we finally won possession of the ball for the final 45 seconds.

One thing you have to take your hat off to was guys like Idun, Taylor, Buckley and Perrymam for the oppo, they were under the pump and responded brilliantly.

For us DeGoey amazing, Quaynor brilliant, Naicos very good, Steele good and Mitchell great in the second half.

Jaicos definitely needing a lift next week!! But geez, can't question the effort, leadership and organisation.

Their backline is now the prototype going for the future. Tall, Tough, athletic, mobile, agile, they were enormous last night.
It will be the foundation for their future success.

Not sure Lipinski did enough today. When someone like Noble is on the sidelines and potentially Adams returning, he has to be under some pressure.

Still feel Noble should be in this team. We again were too static out of defence. Markov just doesn't give us the with ball run that Noble does.

Markov is a better defender when the ball is in the air... and McRae is willing to trade other teams bombing into the air than precise short low kick passes...

Agree it’s Freddy or no talls at all. No talls might be the decision they make. Frampton coming in and bumping Howe out of his best position should not be the decision. Why derail the backline? Howe can be switched forward in-game if required

As soon he sat down (guy in his 20'), he said, "don't worry I am a neutral". We looked at him and said 'okay'.

First quarter he spent most of his time on his phone. Second quarter he was up and about (out of his seat) as GWS kicked goals, saw a missed free kicks etc.

In the last quarter as I was as nervous as hell, couldn't stand it anymore. I asked him does he know what 'neutral means?'.

He looked shocked and said he was cheering equally for both teams, I replied, I don't think so and I am sitting right next to you."

Anyway at the end, he proceeded to tell me why he thinks we will win the GF as if I really cared about his opinion.

Steele was AA in 2018 iirc? He was favourite for the Brownlow at one point that year.
