I'm really hoping you guys get up tonight for a few reasons:

1) It means Hawthorn can't win the flag AGAIN. Talking to a few guys I know (admittedly a few Carlton, Sydney and Geelong fans in there!) and all are praying Hawthorn don't win it. This Vic team bias thing might be real at the influential level of clubs, but it's basically the opposite with regular supporters. It'd be some sweet revenge for 2013 too.

2) Pav deserves a flag before he retires, for what he's done for your footy club. Great player and leader, plus a humble and loyal bloke too. So does Ross Lyon, who is a better coach than a number of others who have the 'premiership' tag attached.

3) It's another step towards a Derby GF. As much of a heart attack it would be for you guys, it'd be a great spectacle. ;) If you are going to finally break your premiership duck as well, what sweeter way to do it than against the Eagles? Again, heart attacks aside!

Good luck anyway. :thumbsu:

de Boer to Burgoyne - lock down.
Hill on Hill
Mzugnu\Sheridan on Smith.
I would take Barlow on Mitchell, and hope to break even but make sure Barlow's know he can not give him any space 5m-10m away from stoppages.
Feeling very nervous.

Most of the year I've thought we weren't good enough. Have to go back to the North game at home, I reckon, where I actually thought we were the best team in the comp...a complete team effort that crushed North

I still think we're not quite there, and that we are probably a 3rd-7th type team.
Most people had us written off as 4-10th this year.
And I think we've got there on application and game plan, which compensates for our lack of scoring power.

But here we are. One more to the big one, and I guess we'll see if the "hard work" element of our team combined with the high end talent we have is enough to compensate for our bottom end...

I sit next to my boss who is a west coast supporter. Been a long second half to the season. Going to be a long day.
Listened to the BF Main Board podcast. Much more confident about tonight.
Can anyone recommend a good pub in subi to watch it? Otherwise, might end up at the Wembo.

I like the Hawks been the favourites take the pressure off some our players.

Some of the 'expert' tips of Hawks beating us by 20+ points is laughable.

Was hoping work would sidetrack me... its not working... I'm nervous as shit
Good call. Been at work since 6:30 thinking it would be a wicked way to get my mind off the game for a while.. Havn't stopped thinking about the game since 6:30. Get me to Domain already! Cmon boys!

cant stop thinking about the game I swear ill be one of the first few that get through the gates at domain tonight just so I can let off some anxious tension by seeing the boys out on the field

I'm buzzing with excitement. Glad I've got a busy day at work to take my mind off the match. I have a 4th row seat this time to be close to the action and soak up the atmosphere. And be as loud as possible for the whole match.

I reckon Ross is going to put his faith in Lachie Neale to go H2H with Mitchell.
