Teams Philadelphia Eagles - The Gold Standard

Was done by the Fox broadcast team, not the stadium Lincoln Field staff. And yes was apparently deliberate by the producer, got media coverage after the game on a couple of Philly sites.

So is the decision on crowd noise being left to individual teams/networks? I watched another game yesterday - maybe the Ravens and Texans? - where the commentators noted that the home team had chosen not to pipe in crowd noise.

I guess there's 2 layers of it, 1 at the stadium level (for the players) an 1 at the broadcast level.

I know the Panthers used crowd noise at our first game. Can be up to 85 decibels

Haven’t watched the game yet but by all reports it should have been over at 3/4 time. I’m guessing another final qtr interception and nothing longer thrown than 10-15 yards

Eagles aren't the only Philly team to suck either :

NBCSports.com: 9 years, $1.43 billion in salaries, 0 postseason berths for Phillies.

I fell asleep watching the first half twice yesterday - that was rough.

I could see it with Wentz yesterday - his reads are just a little off, his mechanics are just a little off, so altogether it looks woeful. It doesn't seem as though he's being coached very well.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said benching Carson Wentz for rookie Jalen Hurts would be a "knee jerk reaction."
“No, you don’t go there," Pederson said when asked about the prospect of benching his franchise player. We're not sure making the move would be "knee jerk" after Wentz's immense struggles through three weeks. If his job is safe after completing 59.8 percent of his passes and throwing six picks in three games, Wentz likely won't face a benching this season. Wentz's adjusted yards per attempt has plunged to 4, or half of his career high A/YA. His rushing prowess might make him usable in superflex formats next week against the 49ers.

& as he did last year, Ward showing himself to easily be the Eagles most reliable wideout, when he can get on the field that is which shouldn't be a problem now with Jackson & Goedert out. But regardless, he should be getting all of JJAW's field time, that dude's career is going nowhere.

Eagles placed LT Jason Peters (toe) on injured reserve.
Peters needed an MRI after he was was limited at Friday's practice. It's serious enough that the Eagles expect him to miss multiple weeks. Losing Peters is another blow to an offensive line that's already without LT Andre Dillard, RG Brandon Brooks, and LG Isaac Seumalo. Jordan Mailata is expected to start for Peters.
