hmm, he has been ok so far, the INT was tipped at the line. But still not throwing well.

LJ questionable to return, Slay limped off before also. At least Mailata has been solid so far.

Slay back out there so lucky there.

Got to keep trying to get the run game going including Wentz, look much more dangerous when he's also an option.

90% of Philly preferred him over Dillard before tonight. Now it’s 99.9%.
it's funny. For 2 seasons people have called Mailata a bust even though he was a late pick and obvious zero risk high reward project. But Dillard is turning out to be a first round bust and heading in to the Danny Watkins territory.

On a side note, Kelce had at least 2 terrible snaps that nearly caused turnovers. I don't think I've seen him do it twice in a season before let alone in the 1 game.

I think probably not as much here locally. Although I’ll admit that people have been confused at their reluctance to give him a chance, given all of the injuries, and it probably shook peoples belief that he could be a starting LT. As it turned out, injuries forced the team to play him, first at Washington and then tonight

His 15-20 snaps at Washington we’re pretty telling. To start with, he was playing RT, which is not the position he’s been training to play. How big a deal is it to go play RT when you’re a LT? I guess it depends who you ask. Lane Johnson has resisted moving from right side to the left at various points. Dillard famously complained last year that he was being pressed into duty on the right side against the Seahawks and then was so bad he was benched after a few series. Meanwhile the guy who never heard of American football until a few years ago, was forced to play on the right side against the Skins in week one. Now, you should know, that if there is a more talented defensive line in the league than the skins, than I’m not aware of it. They have absolute beasts over there. It’s really the only position group they have that’s any good. And mailata, balled out against them. He battled. He got taken off his feet a few times against “bull rushes” but he is physically gifted enough that he was able to recover and “win the down”.

Tonight, same thing. He’s a total battler. We love the guy, and think he’s the LT moving forward.

I honestly have no idea how JJAW is this bad. He wasn't a superstar in college but he had enough ability to at least contribute in the NFL.
no separation skills, bad route running, noticed it when scouting him for fantasy, had him way low in my list of wrs
