Bad news for us ugh :(

Eagles placed LT Andre Dillard on injured reserve with a torn biceps, ending his season.
Absolutely brutal for a team that had already lost RG Brandon Brooks (Achilles') for the season. The No. 22 overall pick of last year's draft, Dillard will go under the knife. Dillard was uneven as a rookie blindside protector but showed promise before adding over 20 pounds this offseason. He appeared poised to be an impressive mix of power and athleticism. The Eagles must now decide where to use recently re-signed veteran Jason Peters. Peters had been slated to take Brooks' spot, but left tackle has been his home for years. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo expects Peters to man left tackle. Matt Pryor appears to be the next man up at guard. It's far from an ideal situation for the Eagles. Old for a second-year pro, Dillard turns 25 in October.

Shit

Given Dillard has had an ordinary camp so far it's not necessarily the worst news as there would have been a fair chance he'd be no good anyway (He almost took out Wentz's knees the other day when some no name bull rushed him straight into the QB). Not suggesting just yet that he's a bust but it's not looking great, this might actually turn out to be a blessing.

Peters moves back to LT with Pryor to fill in at RG & there's a couple other guys floating around (a rookie in particular whose name escapes me) who've shown some promise so not all doom & gloom. & with Brooks being some kind of physical recovery freak, a late season return by him isn't all that ridiculous.

Driscoll. Brandon Graham gave him some good wraps so fingers crossed we got a pick right for a change. Looks like Jordan Mailata hasn't progressed much and might get cut. Dillard going down might save him for 1 more season

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Jason Peters wants a raise if the Eagles move him to left tackle.
Peters is the frontrunner to start for LT Andre Dillard (torn biceps, IR). He signed a one-year, $3 million contract last month to replace RG Brandon Brooks, but it's now possible he could hold out for more money. The Eagles are still exploring their options, with fourth-rounder Jack Driscoll getting some tackle reps. They may need to restructure their deal with Peters if they want him at left tackle in Week 1.

Surely it doesn't work that way. I get he is a future HoF'er but nobody else gets a pay rise because they are playing more than they thought they would

Think it's more to do with the market value at the position - $3m about right for a vet RG, $6m for a vet LT.

Haven't got much of a problem with it as he would have had decent offers to go elsewhere & the birds would be in a bit of a pickle had he not come back.

for ****s sake, only upside is the wide receiver group has been performing well, JJAW especially a nice surprise, Hightower showing a bit but would have loved to see Reagor out there in week 1, he sounds like the real deal.

No idea if he is any good but I think we need some experience as coverage for the O-Line

Looking at his ratings on PFF, was really good for the Bills up until 2017 (graded into the high 80s at his peak in 2015 , 4 consecutive years in the 80s from 2013 thru 2016) been an average LT at best the past two years though with grades in the mid sixties ...(still graded as the bengals best lineman last year on PFF with a 67.4 grade. Tells you how bad that line was 😂)
