dont want to make a reasonable offer before jumping at psd and screwing a team over?? what goes around comes around, which is why teams do the civil thing, cause sooner or later you will have to deal with us again. i think he will go home, to you or freo. pick 38 in a strong draft widely considered a bargain, 22 yrs old, has been patchy in form, mostly due to being played as a defender. much better as a wingman or forward. hasnt played much this year either. i would want something similar to what we spent for him ie pick 38. i should think he is worth way more than that though, probably 25-35.
Port not screwing teams over, lol...

I suppose you conveniently forgot the Josh Carr scenario.

As well as not letting players walk for nothing, Nick Stevens disagrees.

Not sure if this the right thread to post this in but i couldn't find a trade/delist thread. Duffield reckoned on readio yesterday that Rosa is out of contract and the eagles haven't put a new deal to him yet. They are planning to shop him around at trade week. I am happy about this as it means one less soft as a marshmallow ball butcher in our midfield. I would take an 8th round draft pick in return and be happy about it. Please just get rid of him back to Victoria.

He also said that the GC had had a go at Natanui and Le Cras. Both are under contract so they would have to trade with us for them. They approached the eagles and the players and were proposing to trade back WA youngsters that we want in return. Both the club and the players were not interested.

Rosa would make sense. He is still young and has been good for us without setting the world on fire. Might attract some interest. They contracted almost everyone else.

Outdated view is outdated. Hasn't been soft, his disposal has been improved and has been consistent all year. Not many of our players have improved this season, but he has.

He will still never be a star, but trading him for an 8th round pick or anything close to that would be idiocy.

We'll take Swallow for Rosa :thumbsu:

Scans for dirty pun opportunity.

I don't watch North and Swallow, like, at all, but it doesn't seem that Rosa would fetch a player as good as Swallow. Would be happy to be proven wrong.

What sort of player is Swallow? Inside accumulator or outside finisher? Because we do not need another of the former, rather keep Rosa thanks.

Your entitled to your opinion but i disagree. Rosa is soft. I would hardly call his attack on the ball, effort at the contest or defensive ability and general intensity hard and tenacious. Would you?

The fact that they have now resorted to playing him as a tagger shows how desperate and difficult they are finding it to find and define a role for him that he can actually play. They have now finally realised that to play the role of outside reciever/link man you have to actually have good disposal to find and hit team mates and hurt the opposition. They have always known that he can't win a contest. So trying him as a tagger as they have this year is the last chance saloon for him and it has failed. Sure his disposal has improved but it hasn't improved enough to make him a valuable and damaging player. He would not get a game at most clubs.

He has had 6-7 years in the AFL system and 100 odd games invested in him and the returns have been very mediocre. When a player hits his mid 20's and 100 games that is his peak and as good as he is going to get and in Rosa's case it's not good enough. Not by a long shot. You can't keep getting games on the basis of potential when you are nearing 25 and 100 games. I would rather they gave his spot in the 22 to a young player who may or may not become a solid AFL standard player for us rather than keep giving it to a 25 year old who has conclusively proven over 7 very mediocre seasons that he never will be an AFL standard player. Thats my opinion.

Rosa has been much improved this year both physically and in kicking.

On Wells, 8 possessions and 1 tackle so far. Been far from impressive.

LOL - he nearly kicked a goal and shut me right up :) Make it 9 possessions.

Ended up with 23 disposals, 10 contested possessions and kicked 1.2, thought he had a good game. He is starting to get a lot more of his own ball, a lot more of the hard ball.

I think we will keep pick4 now but would like us to offer Brisbane pick 4 and Brad Ebert for Daniel Rich and Todd Banfield

I'd keep the pick and use it on a good outside mid. With Kerr back next year the midfield will improve a fair bit. You just need to get Ebert to do a Watson and focus more on dishing off than kicking.

Wells has a reasonable game so lets handball pick 4 to North for him, no ****ing way. He's not going to turn into a mega star now, hes been having servicable games then a few crap ones for his entire career.

Just a player at best, fact. I'd have him, but pick 4 would be a monumental disaster.

You're entitled to your opinion, doesn't make it any less wrong.
Name 3 midfielders in our team that have been better than Rosa over the past season?
Look at the Bigfooty match votes. In 14 of his 19 games he has had a disposal efficiency of over 70%.
Your opinion is either outdated or idiotic.
